Still frame / freeze frame
Allow pausing on a particular still frame of the video for a certain duration. This is useful for editing screencasts, explainer videos, etc. Or if you're making a video that will be played as a loop and you want it to pause on the closing image for a moment before restarting...

There’s a good possibility at this point that Peter Flynn may not even work for Adobe anymore.

@petergaraway (software Engineer, Adobe DVA) we've been waiting 3 years for this feature which was on your radar on February 26, 2019.

Here we are in 2022, and it's still not implemented... such a shame.

Yes please!

Please, please, please make freeze frame/ frame hold happen. I know there are workarounds, but they are not easy on a phone. When I am on my computer, I use Pro. But I love Rush on the go, as I can kick out a simple video in no time flat. This is critical for sports highlight videos.

Add an option to add a freeze frame to video clips - with perhaps a way to combine a freeze frame with pan and zoom.
Thanks!

Here-here. I just today decided to give PR a whirl -- and ran into this very issue. It seems a pretty basic feature--and will keep me from using PR going forward.

I agree we need this feature, but I simply took a print screen and added to my sequence and stretched it to the timeframe I needed. Worked for me.

I have been keeping my eye on this. I hope this is coming soon.

@petergaraway it's been almost two years since you said, "This is a great idea and is a feature we have on our radar." Can you please update us on when it will be available? Thanks.

This is a must have - we need this feature as soon as possible!

For search purposes, this is also known as “frame hold”. Not having this feature massively reduces the usefulness of premiere rush for me.
I went to learn how to do it in pro and it wasn’t a cakewalk, having a rush interface for this feature would be huge.

To be able to freeze frame video would add a nice fresh option into Rush or Premiere Pro

I’m an animator and love anime, I have always wanted to recreate some cool openings I’ve seen and decided to get the app so I can maybe use it as reference, but I realized that you can’t look at the video frame by frame. This really upsets me cause I can’t use the audio as reference cause my animation software doesn’t do that and my only option was seeing what the video was like frame by frame. I know this doesn’t make sense but all I want is a frame by frame option, that’s all

I'm so disappointed ... just signed up for Rush because I thought it would be an improvement over iMovie, only to discover that Freeze Frame, which I use all the time, is missing. The speed/duration hack is a pain in the neck, also the maximum duration is 10 frames (less than 1/2 second at 24fps).

Rush really needs a Freeze Frame option. I do training videos, and need to stop the video and pop up some relevant information or questions about what is happening on screen. Not to "feature shame" Rush, but this was an option available in Corel Videostudio.

Still interested in having an easier way to do this than cutting and changing the duration.

You can already do this. Just cut the video before, and after the frame you want to pause on. Then select the single frame clip, and change the duration in the speed options.

Still capture button please! This is a simple feature that is widely used. Should be a basic option.
