Audio Fade In / Fade Out
I have read that I can achieve this by using Transitions, but would like more control over the effect.
Great app! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for writing in and/or voting for this. If you’ve missed my previous comment, I’ll add it again below. Audio fades have been available in Rush since 1.0 (see steps below). If you come across any issues related to transitions with or without audio, please file a report here: adobe.ly/rushbug

We’re thinking of ways how we can make this more clear to users in the future. We would love to hear your ideas on how you’d expect/like this to work.
Steps to add transitions to audio
1. Select a video or audio clip in the timeline
2. Open the Transitions Inspector, select the Cross Dissolve transition (or one of the others)
This will apply a transition to the beginning and end of your selected clip. If you want to apply a transition to only one side of the clip, you can drag and drop the transition to the desired position.

Maybe just put that option under the "Audio" section, even if it still uses transition effects. Seems kinda obvious that "Audio fade/transition" should directly available as a standalone button in the Audio tab.
There needs to be the ability to add fades to audio

fade in and fade out effect for audio

I am using Samsung Note 8, One UI, Android Pie with latest version of Adobe Rush and I am not able to add cross dissolve effect on audio in any way.
Steps that I do:
- press longer on some clip and then tap on "Expand audio"
- make two clips shorter and apply cross dissolve transition between them to the video
- result: transition is only applied to video, but not on audio track. If i drag transition effect directly on audio track - nothing happens.
I tried the same thing in Adobe Rush on desktop pc and it works as expected there, so I think it is a bug on mobile. I am including the screenshot of the transition result i am getting

This just baffles me ... free apps in the early 2000s would have that as basic functionality...
No, none of the workarounds work on desktop apps, there's no transition or fade, audio just stops abruptly (regardless of video transition, be that cross, dip etc.)
If you ad a cross dissolve to the clip that has the audio you want to fade, then tap and hold the clip until the options pop up, and hit EXPAND AUDIO. You can then zoom right in very close and see the transition on the audio. You can then just tap and hold the tranmsition on the video clip to delete it, and it remains on the audio track.
It doesn’t work on the app. Can’t see audio track when transistions is selected, only see video track. Therefore the drag dissolve to audio is physically not possible ow. I don’t think Adobe knows this.
Can the transition be added just to the sound?
This can be done with a transition in the current version, just ad Cross Dissolve to the soundclip
