Add "Save As" option
If I want to experiment with my project without overwriting the original, or if I want to use it as a template for additional videos, I can't do that because it automatically saves my changes.
Please add a "Save As" option, or an option in "Your Projects" to be able to make a copy of the selected project.
thanks

I'm so sick of "the cloud" being the solution to everything! God forbid you lose your internet connection. Why on earth can I not save my working file locally? I'm making a short video for a grad application, nothing that fancy so I didn't want to bother working in premiere. I'm like 80% through and am panicking since discovering I can't save the file. It's running really slow and I'm terrified of it crashing, especially once I decide to export the video. This stress is so ridiculously unnecessary. I'm never using Premiere Rush again, I'd be better of editing in imovie on my phone.

Add a local save as function for the project file. It's essential and it's frankly shocking it doesn't have this basic functionality for such expensive software.

The option to "Duplicate Projects" doesn't really help. Yes, the media files are stored locally (hard to find though) but there is no project file.
I'm quite sure what everyone is requesting, is a way to store the whole project (assets, a file with the edit and setting) locally. For me, that is my backup.

Premiere Rush version 1.5.18 has introduced the "Duplicate Projects" feature which allows you to create a local copy of the Project. This makes it easy to create different versions of the same project for different publish use cases.
Please find more details here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/premiere-rush/help/duplicating_sequences.html#duplicate-projects

Apparently your projects get saved in your cloud account automatically but for the life of me I cannot see where...

Morgan, thank you so much for that! I had no idea and sure most other people didn't, either. This is great to know! (Why couldn't the creators just have said 'Save As'?) Thanks again.

The Stop Gap is to Duplicate another file on the Home page and rename it something else before working on edits. It's a horrible way to package the product, but it does work.

I totally agree. It is the most basic thing that is needed. How can you use Rush or any file without a Save As feature?

Exactly

I find Rush useless if I can't 'Save As"!

Need to have a Save As function. For the life of me, I cannot see where my Premiere Rush files/projects have been saved.

This is the most BASIC of necessities. It is ABSURD that you cannot make changes to a project, with no way of reverting to an old save, or have a way to save your project locally and create multiple versions or templates. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired.

not having this option makes me seriously miss iMovie.

Do all of these votes and comments stand for nothing? Why are changes not being made?

Or a simple "duplicate" option for files so you can use some of the frames easily. This fix would simplify many designs

It is completely, absolutely, insanely absurd that in 2020 we cannot duplicate projects. How in the world was this ever released without this most basic of functionalities?

Rush just made me LOSE my project because when I was replacing missing media, it replaced with the wrong media and now it is stuck. I worked for three months on this project. I was very careful when replacing the video clips with their current HD location, but it would change the selected clip and now I just want to throw my laptop on whoever is the smart-S who didn't fool proof media replacement or let me have a backup copy of my project. Oh, by the way, I had copies of my sequences. It RUINED ALL OF THEM.

Older video project disappears when you start to make changes. Absolutely crazy idea not to have SAVE AS option. So many projects have been lost!
Strongly need to save projects to computer and then chose one to work with -

Desperately need save as option to create multiple format options.

I don't know how this isn't an option. I need two copies of my video because when I open it in Pro, the music embeds into the graphic. Two HUGE issues, in my opinion.
