iPhone imported video just shows as red screen
I started a project on my iPhone. The media uploaded to Adobe Cloud. I resumed editing on my PC and the entire video clip shows as red. Occasionally it will display properly, sometimes it will flicker good and red frames.
This was resolved sometime back. Please reach out to our support team if you encounter this issue again.

Have you tried the following? Update software and iOS. It is possible to solve the red screen problem.

Had the same kind of issue between rush iPhone and rush Mac. Premiere Pro would open correctly (-> files are synced)
Oh, and, joke, a couple of frames, exported from the iPhone version, turned red on export. On a 2 minutes sequence. Only saw it once it's out, NO info, NO warning…
What worked for me is I selected the videos on my iphone that i wanted to import and shared them to my google drive. Once they were added to my google drive I opened google drive on my computer and then downloaded them from there. No more glitch when imported into premiere.
Sorry for the delay. Thanks for providing these details. We're investigating this issue now. Hope to get this resolved soon. I'll update once I know more.
A few things you can try if you're still seeing the issue:
1. Just export the video as is. Sometimes the red frame will not appear in the saved video.
2. If #1 does not, and it's not too difficult you can try starting a new project. On occasion, the red frame will not appear in a new project.
3. Lastly and maybe the best solution is using Handbrake or Adobe Media Encoder to transcode the problematic file and replacing your the original clip with the transcoded file.
Thanks again. Really appreciate the help!
And when you save your now working project... save it in the same new folder that you put the files into on your pc. :)
#1 - See this known issue with iphones: https://helpx.adobe.com/rush/kb/known-issues.html "Premiere Rush issues on Windows 10", "HEIF images (default for iPhone X) are not supported on Windows."
#2 (Solution) - Plug your iphone in usb to pc. Create a new folder anywhere on your pc to copy files off of your iphone to your pc. Open a fresh windows explorer, locate your iphone underneath "This PC" and navigate to the iphone files and main imgs folder. Using the "Img_xxxx" names from your rush project, search and locate each image needed and existing in your rush project one at a time, and copy them over into the new folder on your pc. Great.
Now... go open adobe premiere pro cc.. That's right. Not Premiere Rush cc. Open adobe premiere cc. On the left hand menu your going to want to select "Open Premiere Rush Project". Highlight the Project window where all of the red! files are and on each file individually... right click and select "Replace footage". Navigate to the new folder you created and copied all of your files over into. Find the corresponding file and select it. You will see it replace it in premiere. Repeat for each file individually. Save Save Save.
******** right? Yes... I know. Your welcome. #DoBetterPremiereRush
I am experiencing this same issue attempting to pull up files which originate on my iPhone, and render fine on the iPhone Rush app, show synced completely, but show as a red screen when I open the Rush project on desktop. Anyone have a solution?
There is a glitch with the way the new iphone films videos. If you choose to improve low light settings, it renders the video to a slower film speed, but its unusable by any editing program as not a universally used film speed. It may not be Rush.

I filmed the video on my iPhone 10 and added it to a project and the cloud from the Rush app.
I'm not seeing where I can upload a screenshot for you.
Can you please share the same info I requested from the other user?
Can you please add a screenshot of what the monitor looks like?
PC model and OS installed?
Graphics card installed?
What type of video files do you (4k/1080) have and what camera shot them?
Thanks so much!
I'm having the exact same problem. The footage says it has synced but does not show up on the desktop version.
Apologies I miss understood what was happening. Can you please add a screenshot of what the monitor looks like? Lastly, if you can include these details, it would be very helpful!

This is not a syncing issue.
The media has uploaded to Adobe Cloud and is available for editing on my PC. When I play the media with Windows media player its fine, but when I use this clip in Adobe Ru the clip is red.
A few things to try.
1. Launch Rush on your iPhone, from the Project Browser, locate the project that is not syncing. Click on the more options menu (...), select "Turn Sync Off" from the list. Once sync is turned off, turn it back on.
2. Open the project, wait until the sync upload progress is complete (blue progress ring closes) before closing/backgrounding Rush
3. Once the files sync to Creative Cloud, open Rush on your desktop/laptop.
4. Open your project. Do not close/background Rush until the sync download progress is complete (blue progress ring closes).
If your files still do not sync, please let us know. I'll have a few follow-up questions and there will be a few other things we can try.
