Allow duplicating of projects

We need to be able to duplicate any video from the home screen, because sometimes it’s necessary to have two iterations of the same video with different lengths for specific platforms
This is a basic function that your competitors have. Duplicating a sequence does not solve the problem.

This is a basic function that will allow the user to have increased possibilities.

It would be useful to be able to duplicate projects within Rush to create new edits of them.

Has this feature had any recent update? Hoping this will be implemented very soon please!
373 votes for this now. PLEASE can you introduce this functionality without further delay. It's baseline requirement for users. Without it we're left having to re-create whole projects just to change a background video and text, for example.
Duplicating a sequence is not the same as duplicating a project. When will the duplicating a project feature be available? It is very time consuming to have to redo everything just because I'm creating the same project but in different languages.
I use Rush on my S10 android smartphone. Great appli but I'd like to be able to save a project as another version instead of replacing the current one. That is necessary when you need to introduce several possibilities and ask for readers' choice (for instance which are the preferred titles or photos or colors....)
Perhaps that feature exists but I've not found how to do....
i literally must have 5000000000 differnt versions of my opening and closing fade ins with sound because i cant copy the project and replace the middle.
give us this basic feature. more like a rush in app development than creating a video in a rush.
Copying a project would be great for many reasons. For example that you can work in different versions and have no loss of editings.
Or that you can make keep intro and outro the same and you don`t have to import it every single time.

I have a project edited but need to split it into two. I want to duplicate and delete the opposing half out of each project. Please allow me to do that!

I agree! I'd like to see more options in the user interface. Instead of opening a project instantly, I'd like to be presented with choices when pointing at the projects.
Like this: Open / Duplicate / Delete / Export (to XML/Premiere/After Effects/etc.)
Thanks for sharing your workflow and what you're trying to achieve.
I totally see the value in that. We're working on the best way to bring this feature forward. Stay tuned!
I'm sure I'm not alone in creating more than one video with the same opening and closing, type styles, logo etc for social media. We need to be able to duplicate a project and replace some elements, keeping others consistent.

This is basic feature! I don't understand how it can be missing. Duplicating sequances is so unintuitive. Duplicating project = 2 seconds. Duplicating sequances = googling how to duplicate project and then watching youtube video (this is how the help you).

Dear Caroline Sears, whenever I need to issue a video in many languages, I will have to create a new video and then replicate again everything I did in the first video manually. So, I really will do the duplicate myself if I need it. We just want to duplicate it and localize it since also the amount of layers is very limited.
Let us save the files locally, then, but please make our life easier. Hindering our work when we need duplicates and make us copy the projects we NEED to do -manually- is EVIL. We do not create duplicates for the sake of it?
We'll use an alternative and stop using Rush because it takes to long -Ah, the irony.

Here's how to duplicate your sequences in Premiere Rush: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eBlWH4uWbg
The function you're requesting is currently available in Premiere Rush by duplicating sequences as opposed to projects. The reason we duplicate sequences in Rush instead of projects is because, with duplicated projects, it would take up a lot of cloud storage to copy multiples of the same clips from project to project. By duplicating sequences, the clips are only stored once but can be used across multiple different videos!
Feel free to message me on our forums if you have any questions, more feature requests, or if you just want to say hi! I'll be more than happy to help.
I really need the ability to copy projects!
