Better audio: Prevent ugly click sound between takes > auto fade at start/end of clip
Just tested the app. Wonderful start! But I get click sounds between clips when using recordings straight from the iPhone. What you want to do asap to make it usable as a standalone app is to build in a feature to auto fade in/out a clip‘s audio (best: for the whole track, project, or on clip basis). A short fade of a few milisecond usually prevents the clicking without noticing the fade itself. The clicking sounds very unprofessional and there are first results from prominent Youtubers out there already who have this ugly clicking in their videos. I bet they are testing the rush app to quicken up their workflow. Which is wonderful. Just make the audio clicking between takes go away, please. Thank you!
This. Completely agree. The lack of audio fades/crossfades is a serious hindrance.
Thanks for the feedback. Can you help us to understand this clicking effect? Which version of iPhone are you using? Are you using any extra hardware to help you record on your iPhone? When you add media that you recorded on another device, is the clicking not present? If you trim the last few frames from the clips, does the click go away?
We haven't experienced this same issue so it sounds like a bug that we would love to track down and address.
Also, you can apply a "Cross Dissolve" to your audio clips to give them a fade in/out -- try it out!
