Sync doesn’t work between iOS and Mac
We can’t get our iPhones and Macs to sync. We feel alone because don’t see others complaining. We have an enterprise account from work, does that affect Rush sync? Otherwise how can we get syncing to go? Can find no controls or status indication.

I am experiencing since trouble as well. I can see it thinking about working, but it doesn't. I have placed my clips and started working on iOS and wanted to work on my MacBook. I can see the beginning of the project, but after the title, the rest is big red exclamation point covered screens. I don't see any error messaging or sings of problems otherwise. Ive quit out of both the iOS and macOS versions, turned off sync and turned it back on, all to the same result. Help?
Improved error reporting here would help. If a CC account doesn’t have storage available and therefore syncing fails, a message should communicate that. :)
Thanks! I’m glad I have it working now.
DANG that was it. Stupid Enterprise account.
I can sync now with my new personal CC subscription.
Next question. Now that I've signed in as the other version of me is there a way to get my enterprise account Rush projects copied into my personal account?
Thanks for the reply.
Very helpful I think. I have signed into CC with the same email address. I don't see an option for signing in as a type.
On the desktop (Mac) I turned syncing off on the project I made. Then I enabled Syncing. I got a blue progress bar. When it finally finished I saw two media files in my home/Creative Cloud Files folder. But with a red triangle next to it.
I went to my iOS device, the desktop project did not appear.
I tried toggling sync on my iOS device, I get an error that turning sync off has failed.
Then I logged into the web site. In the lower left it shows my quota, and it says I'm using 2MB of 0.
So I'm guessing this enterprise account doesn't offer any storage. Maybe that explains it?
Next step for me: buy my own CC subscription
Will let you know.
Sorry for the delayed response (I did not have notifications set up properly. I do now).
A few things to and consider. Since you’re on an Enterprise account, you need to sign in not only with the same email but also the same account type. Once that is confirmed, please try the following:
1. Launch Rush, from the Project Browser, locate the project that is not syncing. Click on the ellipse menu (...), select "Turn Sync Off" from the list. Once sync is turned off, turn it back on.
2. Wait until the sync upload progress is complete (blue progress ring closes) before closing/backgrounding Rush. You can confirm you files have uploaded to the Cloud by going to the Creative Cloud App on your Desktop, select Assets > Files > View on Web. From the Web browser, go to Files > Adobe > Assets. Your project files can be found there.
3. Once the files sync to Creative Cloud, open Rush on your iOS device. Make sure you're connected to WiFi or a Cellular network
4. Open your project. Do not close/background Rush until the sync download progress is complete (blue progress ring closes).
Please let us know if you’re still not syncing after following these steps. I’ll make sure to get back to you right away.
Thanks for your patience.
About half of my clips sync. I started I’m iPad. On my Mac I see an exclamation point with red background. Leaving the app open on iPad, where the clips are fine, does not send them all to desktop.
hi! Thanks for replying. Yes, signed in with the same Adobe ID. Sync enabled? The only sync-related setting I see in the iOS app is Settings>Preferences>Use Cellular For Sync (Which I enabled). I don't see another sync enabler. Where is that?
On an project in iOS I tap the ••• button and it has an option to "Turn sync off", so I assume sync is on.
On Desktop when I click New Project from the Your Projects button I get a file browser type screen and at the bottom left "Sync with Creative Cloud" is enabled.
Sorry for the trouble. Can you please confirm you that you’re signed in using the same enterprise Adobe ID on both iOS and desktop? Also, confirm you have sync enabled on the iOS device and the Adobe desktop app?
Does sync fail to go both ways, i.e. from Mac to iOS and from iOS to Mac?
