Need Ken Burns effect for stills
Hi all! We’re really excited to share a sneak peek of our new Effects Panel, which houses Transitions and Motion Effects. Tucked neatly into Motion Effects will be two of our most requested features: Auto Reframe and Pan and Zoom. Keep your eyes peeled for Auto Reframe later this month in our Public Beta version of Premiere Rush on iOS, Android, or desktop. We’d love to hear what you think!

A very simple and basic feature that feels like it should have been standard with this software...

Adobe Rush would be terrific if this effect was not missing, as well as a good set of transitions.

Adobe Rush is awesome and easy to use but the lack of pan/zoom for stills is really making me consider another product. It is just an essential piece to making a video look professional. It should have a start and end point for scale, ideally, but even if it was just an automatic preset it would be 1,000 times more useful for professional looking videos. Come on, Adobe. Even free video editing apps allow this simple and essential feature.
Hi John! No it's not available yet. Keep looking for it in an upcoming release.
All the best,

I've received the latest Beta update for Rush on Mac but I still don't see the effect. Where is it supposed to be?
It's not in the Effects panel.

Excellent! Very excited about this update. Literally the one missing functionality from Rush that I have wanted since starting my subscription.

Regarding Pan and Zoom: like it. With respect to any ease-in/out that may occur, avoid iMovie side effect of starting from unmoving, stoping on onmoving, when using cuts. That gets really annoying after a few. I always have to add cross-dissolves to hide that stopStutter, caughtBreath, hiccup feeling. Brief video above seems to be ok; motion in progress at each cut.

We really need this, this is the major reason I chose not to use Rush most of the time.

Wow. I don't know how this feature wasn't in the beta.
Peter Smith commented
This feature should be in Adobe Rush. Please put it in the NEXT feature update. You will make a lot of customers very happy if you do.

Me too! It's very frustrating to look for other workarounds, keep it simple. I want to stick with Rush. Please Add this!

This would be great not just for stills but also for video! Thank you and keep up the good work. Todd

This is crucial for continued customer loyalty to Adobe products. I know there's Premiere Pro, but this is basic editing functionality. Even Photoshop can do this for videos.

Please add this!!!

Lack of this basic feature is just unacceptable.
Hey Stephan Hawthorne, any updates? You have been taking almost a year to "investigate" this. We just hope it doesn't take another 1 year to develop this feature.
Currently have to resort to another tool for Pan & Zoom. How frustrating
Mike Grieco commented
Like most, surprised that this feature isn't already in there. The Rush tool is great, but dynamic image pan/zoom to create a Ken Burns effect is absolutely needed if the product is to be truly useful.

Literally useless even for personal and noobie amateurs like us if Ken Burns Effect or Pan or Zoom our Holiday snaps when putting a Youtube video together of our holidays/trips for friends and family...This may be a "hobby app" at a "hobby price, but Ken Burns Effect or Pan and Zoom is a basic requirement even for "hobby video makers"!
Come on Adobe...at £10/month, I EXPECT this feature and won't subscribe until it's added.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for Macbook & Phone friendly Video editing software with these basic features?

Rush is great but needs Ken Burns ASAP!

This really makes the whole program useless... Uninstalled as soon as i figured out it was not a feature.

@Stephan, are you done with the investigation almost a year later?
