Support iOS Files
There is no option to add media from the new Files app in iOS. It doesn’t even show up as an option - only Dropbox. Why? Ths is a serious flaw.

Hi all!
Last week we released Rush version 1.5.12, which includes many great updates, including iOS Files support! Now you can import media from the Files app directly from the media browser in Rush.
Happy editing!

I switched from iMovie to Premiere Rush today. However, I can't believe you don't support iCloud. All of my videos and pictures are on my iCloud. What happened to Adobe's close relationship with Apple?

Thanks for the request, Martin. We're working on getting this to you now.

It’s almost like adobe didn’t think of some of the most obvious things when creating these apps. It doesn’t seem like the app teams don’t work together or even know each other exists.

Why can’t I import videos from files app on iPad Pro? Why am I limited to using photos app?

I have some music I’d like to use but it’s in my files. Premiere Rush doesn’t allow you to use stuff from files.

Please support adding medias from iOS file and iCloud. It will be even better if we can simply drag and drop the file when using the divided screen.

I’d like to chime in and add my request for this feature ASAP! Every release that comes out prompts a quick look at the release notes in hopes that this will have been added. This morning’s release... nope! Disappointed again. I love using the app... it’s perfect in almost every way, the lack of files support makes it hard to use unless you have great internet connectivity. The app is aimed at YouTubers, which we are... and a large group of YouTubers are like us and on the road traveling most of the time... most of us with very, very limited internet/WiFi/LTE. We recently spent 4 months in Alaska where we had connectivity maybe 7 days of that trip. With a music subscription you’re forced to download the MP3 and then upload to Dropbox and then download again. I guess I should add that we travel in a 21’ van so we edit with an iPad 12.9 Pro exclusively to save space. All the other nice features that appear when you support this would be a bonus for me. But, having to force Dropbox into my workflow and eat up precious data while traveling causes me to not use the app and instead us LumaFusion, which has a few features that shine but I prefer Rush. So... please???? Soon??? Please???? We’re on our latest 4 month trip and once again I’m editing in LF instead of Rush with fingers crossed. If you’d add this I could grab my saved soundtracks from SSD or iPad and not have to have connectivity to edit. Long request... sorry... but a 100% true REAL-WORLD example of why this would be a great addition. Owen. Van Trekking Lifesyle

iOS app is useless if no access to Files or any other location (i.e. Google Drive) is enabled.

Can someone get on this please? I want to use the app, but there is no quick way to do things without use of the Files app.

Support use of external hard drives on iOS. This is a major problem for mobile video editing. Mobile hard drive space is so limited unless external HD’s are supported.

Cannot import media without copying it to multiple places on iPad. It will not access other photo and video folders which makes importing media a headache. Won’t use this product until I can import clips easily from existing iPad folders.

So, in the mean time, anyone know how to get a sound effect file into Rush? I've downloaded it but can't actually use it on mobile. Desktop Pro is no problem but need to do this on the go sometimes.
cheers

Hi, this is truly infuriating. I know you're working on it but just putting in my thoughts as well.
Hopefully you are also adding rush as a target in the file share feature in the same manner as iMovie is allowed to so so the files can be dropped straight into a project. If not, please make this part of the next release.
