I can see my Apple Music but it’s all grayed out and can’t add any tracks to the timeline. Why? Is it a rights issue?

I am having exactly the same problem, have been online with help for Premier Rush, they say it is an itunes problem. I have purchased the same song three times trying to get it into Premier Rush with no success

Hello, i have the same issue with the audio im trying to add soundtrack from iTunes which i pay monthly for my subscription and i cant it is all grayed out. No fair! Is there is any solution yet?
Even songs that are downloaded, bought and not Apple music cannot be seen after downloading to the phone. Only Rush soundtrack.
I pay for Apple music monthly, this issue is the same for me. It is greyed out so I download it to phone. It is no longer greyed out and I am able to select it and press ADD, however it still doesnt show up in Rush and I noticed the music file is 0MB even though it is not greyed out. So Am I simply not able to use this APP on my Iphone10s?
Ok so you say if it’s not purchased it can’t be used but what about free songs? It’s downloaded on my phone but it’s free so how are we able to use free songs?
Can you guys maybe add a way for me to just paste MP3s into the app? This would be great
As Ben mentioned, songs that appear dimmed need to be downloaded to your device before they can be used in Rush. Go to the Music app to download the song.
Songs from an Apple Music subscription cannot be used because they are protected by digital rights management (see details below). In order to use songs from Apple Music, they need to be purchased.
Details about digital rights management (DRM) can be found here:

I’m trying to make lyric videos so this is unfair that I’m paying for the FULL subscription but not getting the FULL benefits. I’d like my money back if this can’t be resolved immediately
Thanks for the extra information Rico. I'll make sure that the team is aware of this and can track the source to of the issue.

Thank you for the reply Ben. I thought that may be the case so I downloaded one song to my device and it still did not show up. Even after the download it didn’t show up so I closed and restarted the app thinking it may be a refresh problem but it still was grayed out.
This can happen if the audio is not downloaded to the device. We are working on ways to improve this experience, but in the meantime, please make sure the songs are downloaded by viewing the album/song in Apple Music and pressing the download button.
