Support After Effects motion graphic templates in Rush

Lol this is ridiculous... a client asked for a template to use in Premiere Rush... And now I have to use premiere to make a template instead of After Effects... I'd literally rather claw my eyes out. Now what would have taken me 30 minutes... is going to be painful experience.

@David Walsh you can add graphics and other graphical elements to the template in After Effects (for a Premiere Pro MOGRT) and just not add the controls to the EGP.
I have never created a PP MOGRT for Rush, so can’t advise on that but maybe that technique is also a possibility in PP?

In the meantime is there any way in Premiere Pro to restrict control over elements in the essential graphics panel? They get full control over the graphic in Rush, and I would like to restrict brand essential items. Thanks. And I upvoted this. It's crazy we can't use AE to create mogrts for Rush. Please fix ASAP.

The most BS thing about this used to be supported, then for some reasons after a Late 2020 update it's suddenly pulled out of nowhere. No references of it on any changelog or What's New. Just silently pulled back functionality.
Unable to import a local .MOGRT file, and instead opting to uploading it inside CC Files instead, pushing you to be rely on the storage of it, and hopefully pay more. And for some reasons you can only use Premiere Pro authored MOGRT from then.

Importing MOGRTs is a necessity for me to continue paying for this product. Due to issues like this, I'm moving more and more away from Adobe. Affinity, Skylum and Blackmagic Design are looking like very good alternatives.

Being able to add simple graphics such as animated logos should be a basic function. It's 2021. How a video editing software exists (from Adobe for Pete's sake) without this or even supporting keyframes, or motion based transitions (not swipes) is insane. Most people aren't using this software to make cute cat or vacation videos...people are using this to create content for businesses.

I agree with Eric Harris!

Currently (v 1.5.54) Rush does not support installing MOGRT files authored in After Effects. I think this support should be standard. Even better, Rush should support CC Libraries, so one could author a MOGRT in After Effects, export it to a library, and open from the library within Rush.

Just like everyone else, I’ve made a custom essential graphic mogrt file in after effects, only to find out I can’t import it in any way into Rush. Very disappointing!

Pretty amazing that this still doesn't work, it seriously limits what we can deliver to clients using Rush only. Even the Rush help files state that "Motion Graphics templates are templates created by a Motion Graphics artist in Premiere Pro or After Effects."

Any news on this? Making motion templates in Premiere instead of AE is like animating with mittens on. Blindfolded. Also, how come there are preset titles in Rush with responsive design when it dosent support AE Mogrt?
I simply cannot give my client what they need without this. Which is branded, responsive design motion templates in Rush.

Has there been any progress on this? It's very frustrating that I've created a load of templates on Ae which aren't useable on Ru...

I want to see a variety of Social Media Lower Thirds Titles in more designs for us YouTubers with different Social Media Channels. I spent $40 USD to try Envato Elements for 1 month and it is so complicated to download AE templates and then figure out how to get them imported into Rush. I just gave up trying to learn.
