Ankle, never the same again
I went over on my ankle on the Manx Rally at some point in the 90's (**** you Dave Higgins), all of my ankle went black down to my toes... it's never been as strong since, so if I am jumping down to something I try and put more weight on my left leg when I land.
There is some truth in this. A damaged joint or muscle will never be the same again. This applies to any damaged area. We can only make it easier and try to do everything so that the joint heals and does not hurt.
About three years ago, I twisted my leg and injured my ankle. My ankle hurt a lot. Then I started wearing walking boots to ease the pain and reduce the pressure - https://dunbarmedical.com/product-category/braces-and-supports/walking-boot/. It helped me a lot. Sometimes it happens that the ankle reminds of itself. This usually happens when I overdo the load. I immediately put on walking boots, and the pain went away. Try this.

I'm really sorry, man. Maybe you need to lie down for a while so that your knee heals.
