Essential graphics panel bugs
The essential graphics panel in AE CC 2018 15.1.0 is pretty glitchy.
1) I have a large panel mapped to a complex comp. Then panel graphics & sliders intermittently get scrambled and piled on top of each other when I scroll the panel contents up and down
2) If I assign a new version of the comp to the panel, the text in the right side of all the text comment fields I've added to the panel disappears and I have to re-enter it all. The left side label of the comment persists, only the right side values get cleared.
2a) If I'm editing text in a panel comment and I press command-A to select all the text, all the layers in my comp get selected instead.
3) The range on panel sliders gets set to a lower value than some of the corresponding expression sliders I've moved into the panel. For example, if I have an expression slider with a range of 1-4096, drag it into the panel, then the panel slider range may be set to 1-100 or something like that.
4) The panel sliders round displayed values to WHOLE INTEGERS which is extremely annoying. If a slider has a range of 1.0 - 2.0 or 0-1, something meant to represent a small floating point value range etc, the display on the slider will only show "1", or "2". Please change this.
5) The panel works great in Premiere although it is very slow to render. Item #4 becomes even more problematic though in Premiere because Premiere doesn't allow the user to type in expressions, ie 16/9 or 2048/858 to input a precise float value to a slider, and the panel only displays integers, so user must tediously do math and paste or type in value, then see it immediately round to integer which implies a data entry error. :-( confusing for users of the panel :-(
6) The panel doesn't resize properly within the AE interface. It behaves as if its contents are wider than the UI panel it resides in no matter how wide I make the UI panel, so theres always a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom. Maybe related to having text in the comments entries in the panel?
7) Solo supported properties spins open everything in my comp, but there's no automatic way to close all the layers up again or restore the subview of all the layer controls/effects to their former state after soloing.
Thank you.

Thanks again for the excellent feedback. We (the Graphics team) have captured several items from it as bugs and requests which we will take action on as time permits. So I am closing this request now, since it encompasses too many things to vote on as a whole. In the future, if you are able to submit requests separately, we can leave them open so that people can add their own votes and/or comments if they wish.

1) I have a large panel mapped to a complex comp. Then panel graphics & sliders intermittently get scrambled and piled on top of each other when I scroll the panel contents up and down --> We don't have a lot of data about that yet, but we have seen reports about that in the past. Specific repro steps will be helpful if you have them.
2) If I assign a new version of the comp to the panel, the text in the right side of all the text comment fields I've added to the panel disappears and I have to re-enter it all. The left side label of the comment persists, only the right side values get cleared. --> I'm not sure what you mean by this. EGP properties should always be specific to whichever comp is currently loaded as Master. Can you provide more info?
3) The range on panel sliders gets set to a lower value than some of the corresponding expression sliders I've moved into the panel. For example, if I have an expression slider with a range of 1-4096, drag it into the panel, then the panel slider range may be set to 1-100 or something like that. --> I think the Expression Sliders default to 0-100 … they are just UI vessels really. Its up to the user to Edit the min/ max accordingly.
7) Solo supported properties spins open everything in my comp, but there's no automatic way to close all the layers up again or restore the subview of all the layer controls/effects to their former state after soloing. --> All you should have to do is hit Solo Supported Properties again to get it to collapse the layers.
Thank YOU for the great feedback. I'lll do my best to harvest things from here into tasks or bugs that we may be able to take action. In the future, it might be best to submit specific bugs or requests one by one so that things don't get lost inside a multi-item report.
