  1. Notification of What Other Triggers Are Assigned to that Key

    It would be really helpful if you could easily see if you've already assigned a trigger to a certain key (while still having the option of having multiple triggers on a specific key) so that way, on more complex puppets, you don't risk having two unrelated triggers happening at once. Something like how in InDesign, when you create your own shortcuts for Character/Paragraph Styles, there's a notification if you've already used that shortcut.

  2. Give starter mode access to shortcuts and the drag feature - created by a pro user.

    Hi guys - thank you for this fun application, I came across it just two weeks ago and even when sometimes I'm not super sure how to do stuff - most of the time it works out!
    I started to animate the character illustration I did for my d&d group - and it is so much fun to stream my character while playing online via web came. Also we are starting to stream our sessions on twitch - but not everyone is fine with showing their faces - so I thought - what a perfect match! and started to build…

  3. I am unable to paste 'Extract and Copy Face measurements' data from After Effects onto a Character Animator puppet

    Attempted using two different PC's and installations of the software with the same result. Was able to paste the data to a text document so it is there. Character Animator won't accept it. This is a bug. Please fix it.

    Hi Greg,

    Are you using After Effects version 22.6 and Character Animator version 22.5, or other combination of versions? I'm not currently able to reproduce the issue.

    Just to confirm, if you paste the text into Notepad, then select all the text there and copy it, does it then work when you try to paste the data onto the selected puppet track in Character Animator?

    Would you be willing to share the face tracking data with us to help diagnose what might be going on? If so, just save the text file from Notepad. If you prefer to keep the text file private, can you send me a private message on the Character Animator user forum (https://www.adobe.com/go/chfeedback )?

  4. For compute lip sync to audio with transcript, a way to prioritize one or the other when there is a conflict.

    When using an audio track and a transcript, whenever one does not match the other, currently, it doesn't do anything at all. So your puppet just sits there with his mouth closed during those sequences where there is a conflict between transcript and audio.

    What would be immensely helpful would be a way to tell the lip sync process to, whenever there is a conflict, just use the audio or just use the transcript for the lip sync visemes generated, or nothing at all, like it is now. This way, there is at least something to work with in those…

  5. サイクルレイヤーでアニメーションさせた動きをパーティクルで反映させたい

    現状パーティクルで出現するのは静止画だけです。サイクルレイヤーやモーションラインなどで動きをつけたレイヤーがその動きを保ったままパーティクルで出現すれば表現の幅が広がると思いました。ご検討よろしくお願いいたします。

  6. I would like to be able to attach or pin one independent layer to another independent layer rather than just the static body layer.

    I would like to be able to attach or pin one independent layer to another independent layer rather than just the static body layer. I would like to be able to build limbs or even body structures that are made up of independent layers chained together, like segments of snake skin all attached to a single spine element. I'm imagining it like a blend on a path in illustrator, only I can now attach draggable handles to that path and animate it.

  7. copy sound items from one timeline to another

    it's really odd that you can copy puppets and behavior items from one timeline to another, but you just can't copy the sound. it makes the whole copy option useless if i want to copy edits i made into a new timeline.

  9. Simplify and focus on key core features

    Not having a solid solution for mirroring quarters and profiles without breaking lefts and rights makes intricate puppets a frigging nightmare to build, test, and iterate. These tools and workflow seem like an afterthought and it makes sense why even Dave Werner doesnt make advanced head turns or use illustrator for rigging. He knows what a nightmare it is. This is unacceptable as a professional tool and may be why you're leaning to premade puppet consumer grade nonsense for tiktokers with the new motion library ****. Make better documentation and focus on better puppet building workflows. Please. Otherwise the free…

  12. Feature Request: Walk Speed as SPM (steps per minute) instead of percentages

    I am constantly having to convert steps per minute to the arbitrary step percentage (which I calculated as roughly 120 steps per minute at 100%). For music videos, it could be nice to just type the exact steps per minute that someone would want into the step speed to match the tempo of the song.

    I think this feature could even leak into the motion library. I know most of the speeds in the motion library vary (especially dancing) but I think if there was a base speed for all motion library dances and walks then it would be helpful.

  13. Feature Request: It would be awesome if there was a sort of way to do a 100% upscale of a puppet.

    Some of the puppets I have are about 1000x1000 pixels as a PSD. That's pretty low resolution nowadays and I wish I could upscale the puppets (in photoshop or 3rd party software) and then link the puppet back to adobe character animator and all of the original functionality that I had on the original puppet would remain.

  14. Ch is way too glitchy and has a mind of its own. I can literally exit out and come back in and it doesn't have the options it had previously

    Fix it..please. I'm so glad I finally use Premiere Pro. CH will driver you insane. Why are the options always changing. Like today....when I click on a puppet I normally get the option to edit the clothes, background etc. Today once I click on it it goes right into a scene as is.

  15. タイムラインにレイヤーのフォルダ機能を追加してほしい。

    複数キャラの収録の際レイヤーが多くなりすぎてしまうためタイムラインが見にくいのと、仕上げのためにバラ音声ファイルを書き出す際にも一つ一つ表示非表示を切り替えなくてはならないため不便だと感じます。

    そのため、フォルダ機能かAeのプリコンポーズのような機能があるとありがたいです。

  16. Using dragger on my body but my head stays in place

    Well, it's not an idea per say, but I've been having trouble for the last.. 4-5 hours and I cannot find anything anywhere to debug myself.

    I've rigged my puppet at 99%, but when I use one of the Draggers installed on its body, the head/neck doesn't follow, and I wonder if there's a way to get the to attach at the base of the neck.

    The neck is inside Head (which is not independant) and Body is also not independant.

  17. Adding my backgrounds to Starter Mode too

    It would be great if I could add my own custom background to starter mode. I have a classroom and lab backdrop I like to use for my students, and want to keep using them even when I do a quick animation using starter mode (which is perfect for a quick turnaround video the night before I need it!)

    We would love a pocket version of Character Animator, to use on iPad or iphone. There are no programs offering this feature with AI real time animation. Adobe, please create it!
