  3. IK legs that allow you to move the legs without moving the rest of the body

    Right now I tried to put an IK arm set up on the legs. It somewhat works, but if I rotate my head the whole body moves. To prevent it, I have to move the foot dragger and set it to stay wherever I move it.

  4. Please give Character Animator access to Cloud Documents so we can work seamlessly with Adobe Fresco

    Right now I am saving from Fresco to Adobe Cloud Documents and then opening in Adobe Photoshop and then saving it as another file to Creative Cloud Files folder to just open the file in Character Animator. If I need changes then I need to go back to Fesco do the revision and then save it again to Adobe Cloud Documents to open in Photoshop to save again as another file to Creative Cloud Files folder to open Character Animator. And then if I have to make another revision I have to go through this ordeal again. Now I have…

  5. copy/paste and re-scale all selected rigging

    Once you have a decent rig on one character, the task of doing this again on a similarly constructed character is super cumbersome.

    It would be hugely helpful if you could select groups of pins and sticks and manipulate them as a group (mirror, scale, rotate, free-distort)

    You can copy/paste, but you have to select pins and sticks one by one. NEED marquee selection of pins/sticks.

    Then with groups of pins/sticks selected, you should be able to mirror/scale/stretch/rotate/free-distort the locations of these pins/sticks.

    I think this would massively accelerate the adaptation of a rig from one character to another.

  6. attach character to ground

    How can I fix my character to the ground? ,I've tried all all manner of pinning, sticking, adding fixed tags, changing layout and all I need is to get this guy to stop floating so I can start my actual project, the fact that this is the default int his program is very frustrating. Namely when his head tilts, everything below his neck swings the other way like a windsock.I've attached images of where my rig is at right now, any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  9. Audio Markers

    I'd love to see the ability to import audio markers from Audition. When animating long takes, being able to see where the audio cues are would be invaluable!

  10. move the "mouse wheel" timeline left and right

    It would be nice to navigate the timeline with the wheel mouse (hold down the mouse wheel and move it left and right)

  11. Project File size not zero kb

    There's a couple of files that are Zero KB inside the project, the project file itself and a lock file of some sort. That makes it a problem when uploading the project to a shared cloud server with co-workers. The specific cloud doesn't allow for uploading of files with Zero KBs.

  12. more precise control over the rotation and scale y/x options.

    the idea to rotate a character or object in place without it rotating clock or counter across the whole scene screen. Just having it rotate in place would be really/very nice.

    And the same idea goes for the scale y/x. Scaling a character or an object in place without it going up or down the screen when i try to scale it.

    I think tweaking these controls would make them more precise and accurate... Thanks for reading my idea :] 7-27-2020

  13. It would be great to set up multiple puppet scenes to stream more than one person Live.

    As an inspiring streamer. I think it'll great to use Character Animator for Avatars in Live streams. The only problem I'm seeing right now is it can only do one user at a time.

    It would be great if you could make multiple puppet scenes and set them up with different video inputs. This way more than one puppet can stream Live in C.A.

    Critically Awkward has the right idea but they're using different computers for each user.

  15. Draggers option, show existing takes while recording

    Situation: I'm fairly new (2 Weeks into Ch). I want to create explainer videos like Kurzgesagt. I want to create some more complex animations with draggers.

    Expected: On pause or record, while Dragger in Properties is active (red dot), I can see the pose/movement (takes) of the puppet.

    Actual: All takes, under the current Dragger Property, are not visible.

    Solution: Create an option under the Dragger property that lets us see the current poses/movement. While recording, the movement is not relative to the existing takes but the same as if you were recording normally.

  16. Trigger is latched by default please and don't refresh:')

    I alway, always, most of the time if not always, make trigger as latched. Why? because it is very convenient!

    And I don't know why changing a trigger key takes second to process? What's so hard about it for the system?
    And don't refresh the scene when we change a trigger key! Just please don't:(

  17. Precise Rigging

    I'm kinda perfectionist, so here we go.

    I would love it to have Character Animator has more control in Stick and Handle. Like the length of the stick, the rotation, and position. I want a precise and even position and rotation of the stick, for example, on both hands. And so the handle position too. I want it to be precisely positioned for both right and left arm.

  18. On Screen Transformation

    Would it be very helpful to directly move the puppet from the preview scene without having to do the old way of adjusting position, rotation, and scale from the transform control? Just like in After Effects, a mini version of Photoshop transform mode.

    And moreover, I think it's better to have "Space" button work as navigator in Record mode just like in Rig mode, instead of as play button. Maybe "Shift + Space" can be used as the alternative of play button in Record mode.

    And lastly, is it just me, or the navigation hand (space button held) sometimes not…

  19. Encoding time with AI background puppet

    We imported a 3840x2160 AI file to use as a background in Ch. We had it scaled to 50% to fill the 1920x1080 video we wanted to create. The preview in Ch worked great, but when the Ch was pulled into AE it took forever to preview. It was just a 1 minute video, but when attempting to use Media Encoder to produce a video, it was going to take close to 4 whether coming from AE or directly from Ch.
