When using BETA 3.4 (Build 91) on Windows 10 I'm getting the error Error code: (utils.js.19) when setting the reset pose. I'm able to refresh the scene and keep working and sometimes the reset pose works without the error. CH is on a local drive and the puppet I'm using I use quite often. I was getting some other error messages but figured out those were related to some virus scanning software I recently loaded on my computer.2 votes
Ever since 2020 came out each time I reopen Character Animator all of my Arm movements are completely off. I can post a video for a better example. but the arms get turned around and down. almost like everything was flipped upon re-entry.1 vote
If you hold down the Alt/Option key while clicking the Refresh Scene button (in the lower-right corner of the Scene panel), does it make any difference?
If not, can you send us a shared link to your project so that we can diagnose the issue? To do this:
1. Choose File > Reveal Project in Finder/Explorer.
2. Quit Character Animator.
3. In the Finder/Explorer window that was opened, archive the project folder (the one that contains the .chproj file, and Ch Data and Ch Media subfolders) to a .zip file. Don’t just send us the .chproj file.
4. Send us a direct e-mail with a shared link (via Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) to the .zip file.
I have a Dell XPS 15 (7590) with Windows 10 v1903 and the camera keeps coming on and off. It will stay on for a few seconds, then the message "waiting for camera" appears for a few seconds and repeat. All other camera apps work fine and the webcam light stays on the whole time. I have the latest version - 2.1.1. Please help!1 vote
Hopefully this issue has solved itself in newer releases. Let us know if you’re still having the problem.
I am experiencing a GL error when I try to run Character Animator and haven't managed to run it successfully yet. I have attached screenshots to give you more information2 votes
What’s the GPU (make/model) in your machine? Do you have a discrete graphics card, such as from NVIDIA or AMD, or just integrated graphics from Intel?
It would be great if this issue can be resolved soon, I can prep and record just fine, but when i try to re-rig the bones, it crashed before the skeleton loads up2 votes
Are you on macOS or Windows? And what version of the OS are you on?
If you’re on macOS, does the Adobe Crash Reporter window appear after the app crashes? If so, please provide some details in the report, such as the URL for this bug report, so that we can correlate it with this report.
If you’re on Windows, do you have an NVIDIA GeForce GPU? If so, and you recently updated the graphics/display driver to a newer version, please try an older version as we have heard of reports that newer GeForce drivers might be causing an issue.
Also, is your artwork Photoshop or Illustrator?
Whenever I update audio file in CA for lip sync, it works fine but AE won't see the new changes, still plays to previous file that was imported into AE. Very annoying.3 votes
Switching audio hardware from inline speakers to bluetooth headset causes CH to freeze and crash when recording and during playback even though the audio hardware setting preference is updated.2 votes
Does refreshing the scene (clicking the Refresh Scene button in the lower-right corner of the Scene panel) help? If not, does holding down the Alt key as you click that button help?
Hello! I love your product. :)
Internal error code: (751789695:79+6) assertion failed!
I was working on creating an animation, saved a new file, imported a puppet, and then was going to drag into the timeline but as I moved the mouse from the menu, as seen in the screenshot, I received the following error code. I was able to recreate it several times.
Everything seems to be fine with the file, however.
ps I guess there isn't a place to save the screenshot. I have it if it would be helpful. :)4 votes
Are you still having this issue in the recent versions of the app?
