Ability to turn off joint distortion while using IK
For cut-out animation styles (e.g. South Park type) it would be good to be able to turn off joint stretch/distortion while still being able to use IK/draggers.
I know there are various workarounds to be able to get a similar thing, but it would be good to have the option to just have each of the limb sprites retain their exact shape while moving their arms/legs.

That's a good point about the ability to scale in one direction

Yes, please implement a layered approach to limbs using IK (as well as other body parts)! I'm currently animating a robot, and the "Puppet Pin" style bending is not at all desirable. I'd love to be able to keep the thigh, calf, foot, etc as separate layers so they only rotate from their origins rather than becoming a single, bendy unit. The option of allowing some stretch via scaling (along the length of the limb only) would be beneficial as well, since this can help fake some 3D positions of the limbs. My current work-around is to make the feet and knees independent, which works to some degree, but I don't have a separate elbow part for my arms, so this method isn't very useful there.

Hi Jun. This is great news! I think there are a few of us out there who are looking for a similar thing (no stretching/distortion but with ability to use draggers). There are a lot of cut out animation styles that would benefit from it.
For me personally, I'm a few weeks away from using Ch to animate for a very large project, but would have to use AE and Duik for body parts as it's in cutout style. So seeing this implemented would be an absolute godsend!
Thank you for developing Ch further and further! -

May I confirm that this is a relevant request:
My workaround may be fine for a few South-Park-style arms, but in general, I agree that setting up rigid deformations is very tedious or infeasible on Ch. I will bring this up to the team.

I think you can achieve the desired style by moving the elbow joint close to the shoulder or the wrist, and put a stick handle through the limb.

Thanks Jeff! That still bends the joint though, doesn't it?

Decreasing Stretchiness to 0% is the current workaround.
