Viseme order when pasting into AE
The information available on how to do this is, at best, incomplete and at worst, wrong.
Referring to the page here: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/adobe-character-animator/using/export.html#LipSyncTakeexportforAfterEffects
Step #2 says to create a comp with the visemes "matching the order of visemes in Character Animator’s Visemes context menu" and gives an example of the order being Neutral, Aa, D "and so on".
The problem is that in Character Animator (current version 2.11) the viseme order in the context menu is different. See screenshot.
Just to complicate things, the layer order of the visemes in the default head PSD is different again.
So… which is the correct order? For the record, following the order shown in the contextual menu does not produce the correct results.
The actual process of pasting in the keyframe data works fine, it's just that the visemes being displayed in After Effects don't match the ones being displayed in the original Character Animator capture, and short of endless trial and error, I don't know how to fix it.

Sorry for the confusion. It should be in alphabetical order, so:
Aa
D
Ee
F
L
M
Oh
R
S
Uh
W-Oo
We’ll get the online help corrected.
Thanks.

Is there a detailed (video) tutorial for this?

Now I do! But yesterday and the other times (I refreshed the page several times on each occasion to make sure) it was still the old instruction about following the order in the context menu.Thanks.

Ian, do you not see this for step 2: "In After Effects, set up a composition that contains the different visemes at one-second intervals matching the alphabetical order of visemes in the Visemes context menu -- Aa, D, Ee, F, L, M, Oh, R, S, Uh, W-Oo. At time 0 seconds, it should be the Neutral mouth shape (that is, no viseme), at 1 second place the Aa viseme, at 2 seconds the D viseme, and so on."?

Also, when does that online help page update? It's still incorrect as of 9.30am GMT

Thanks. Presumably you still start with the neutral viseme regardless?
