When making this improvement, please include the ability to synchronize limbs instead of alternate. As an example, a fish's fins would both thrust together, instead of left-right-left.

Character Animator needs the ability to handle four-legged puppets. The "hack" of using two sets of walk behaviors is just that: a hack... it doesn't give easy control over the gait timing. Also, the plantigrade-oriented tag structure doesn't translate well to digitigrade or unguligrade puppets.
The addition of flying behaviours for our feather friends would give the ability to put birds, flying dinosaurs etc into productions.
