Alternative to black program interface
Could Character Animator please offer an alternative interface colour ('light') to the black interface - just as Photoshop does, for example. Depending on the time of day, weather etc. it can be really hard to see some screen elements for my setup.

Where is SDK documentation? CEP PANELS? JSX add-ons?

Walking triggered by keyboard
Hello, if you could wipe out the "walking" through the keyboard, you could use multiple gaits for a puppet. She could then walk normally, walk or walk very slowly. For streaming, it would be easier to give the character more dynamic.

Having a bar that limits the record parameters
In music sequences programs, there is generally a bar that you control for record in and out. So, for instance, if you just wanted to record something for .5 seconds, it would do that only and you don't have to go back and change all the little things that have been recorded past that time. For one character these little things can be 10-15 bars you have to adjust. I could send a picture of an example, but I don't think there is that capability here.

Global setting to control resolution etc to speed up performance
While editing and streaming, performance is very important. For people with lower powered computers, things can become sluggish. It would be great to have a global setting that adjusted settings like resolution of images created (if that speed things up), mesh density (if that speeds things up), and so forth. Then while editing/streaming, the setting can be cranked back to what the computer supports. When doing a media export, the setting can be set back to full resolution where it does not have to be real-time display. (Just go grab a coffee for the final render.) But the setting should…

After Update 22.5 Rigged Draggers Not Working
I updated Character Animator from 22.4 to 22.5 this morning and suddenly my dragger handles for wrists and heels have stopped working and only non-labeled general draggers seem to work. Meaning I have to have one handle labeled wrist and a separate handle designated draggable on the same area. The extra handles - and having to update previously working puppets - is getting very annoying.

Automatic Reset on Rewind before Playback
Using Physics and Magnets, when I go to do the performance, at the end of the performance, Character Animator stops and leaves the character in the final position. When I rewind, not all items are reset to neutral/default. Consequently, if you then play back again... everything is shifted starting from a new neutral.
Ideally there should be an option to either keyframe the "reset" OR a way to keyframe ALL items in the initial frame (or maybe frame (-1.0) )
Anything so we don't have to every time remember to click "reset"
Note - this is particularly bad when exporting…

Ability To Rearrange Behaviors In The Behaviors Panel
The current automatic behaviors arrangement inside the behaviors panel is messy. I want my own, personalized, order of behaviors in the behaviors panel.

Disable Features to Improve CPU Performance
When not in use, I want to disable profiles (e.g., left, right, etc.) in hopes of improving CPU performance. My puppet is large and somewhat complex. If CH cannot support complexity, then I would like an option to disable some profiles/features to improve the CPU performance while recording and livestreaming on a 2015 MBP. Currently,

Keep Audio Track Visible.
Would be really helpful to have the audio track locked so it doesn't scroll in the Timeline. Keeping the waveform visible even when scrolling up and down.

Manual Multiple Images Option for Characterizer
Characterizer offers 3 way of building a puppet:
1) Automatic Webcam where you sit in front of the camera and follow the instructions
2) Manual Webcam where you sit in front of the camera and follow the instructions (but instructions are more detailed and numerous)
3) Image where you submit one single image with minimalistic rigging
I am suggesting that Characterizer should offer a fourth option that sounds quite simple to me which is:
4) Manual multiple images where you can enter several images or photos following the same instructions as Manual Webcam but instead of having to sit yourself…

Connecting face triggers to other elements - or - Creating emotion sets
The problem i'm having right now with creating different emotion sets (sad, confused, happy etc.) is that it's something very basic and important, yet time consuming and complicated to do on a live performance.
my idea is:
if we could somehow for example, connect between the "smile" behavior that the camera tracks from the face, and connect it to other elements created for a smile set like eyebrows, eyes, cheeks etc. which will be triggered automatically.if you make a sad/smile/surprised face, the camera detects it and automatically triggers sad eyes, eyebrows, maybe even body poses!

Scale exports to different sizes (vector based projects)
It would be nice to scale the entire scene (and all its sub-scenes/puppets) to any scale. For example, I have a master scene which contains many puppets and everything is in vector. I am working in a 1920x1080 resolution and everything is made for this resolution. It would be nice though since everything is in vector to be able to scale the project up to 4k for example (same aspect ratio) and now have a 4k vector animation of this too done very easily. 4k+ is very slow in character animator to work with which is why I use 1920x1080.…

Trigger control improvement
In the control section for triggers, in layout you can drag the icons to where you want, and you can even drag one icon on top of another, but, when you press it, it still only triggers one of the icons. It would be great if you could layer icons on top of each other, and then you only have to press the one to trigger them all at once. The reason for this is because if you create a trigger group, all the actions in that group has to be the same lengh in frames, otherwise it causes bits…

Choose anti-aliasing options
I want to be able to link dynamically with after effects, but the linked animation has blurry edges and not hard pixels that I need.
For instance part of the aesthetic is that my animations are low resolution, with pixilated edges. I cannot use character animator unless there is an option to export or link using a "draft" quality, such as in AE. Please give us a hard pixel export option (no anti aliasing)

Quick Behaviors and Auto Rigging
Wishlist, with Create Trigger dropzone - Would be great if there was one that created both a Trigger and add Cycle Layers Behavior.
Would also love a way to set Cycle Layers, Triggers, Bones, and Attach from layer names in Illustrator and Photoshop. (Similar to independent.)
Sometimes I have to restructure my puppet and it’s tough having to re-rig when plans change.
Inverse kinematics – Similar to the after effects riggin plugin DUIK, adding more realistic control to limbs. Makes them only bend one way
Love any shortcuts that keep things from becoming repetitive.

I would like to be able to attach or pin one independent layer to another independent layer rather than just the static body layer.
I would like to be able to attach or pin one independent layer to another independent layer rather than just the static body layer. I would like to be able to build limbs or even body structures that are made up of independent layers chained together, like segments of snake skin all attached to a single spine element. I'm imagining it like a blend on a path in illustrator, only I can now attach draggable handles to that path and animate it.
