Add preroll & postroll option for loop playback
Currently only does a 'play in to out' loop. Be good to have an option (e.g. alt & play) to loop with a set pre/post roll (e.g. to hear edits)

Stretch to a certain bpm value
I really want to be able to stretch a Track to a choosable bpm value and I want to see in Multitrack the bars highlightet, every 4 bars as a grid like in ableton.

[BUG] With snapping enabled multiple clips moved together may lose sync
When moving multiple clips with snapping enabled, clips may get out of sync with each other. Bug has been replicated by other users as seen here:

NLE style timecode entry
In most NLEs timecode entry (e.g. to go to a time in the editor) does NOT require the colons entering, or all the numbers.
Typically an entry of 12 would take you to the nearest HH:MM:SS:12
Period acts as :00, so 12 period period would go to nearest HH:12:00:00
10 period period 15 would go to 10:00:00:15
Frames entered above the current frame rate are calculated so 35 would go to nearest HH:MM:01:10 in a 25fps project.
- and - allow relative movement.
PPro is only recently getting to grips with this though.

combine HARD keyframes and SOFT keyframes individually.
You could add the functionality to switch a standard keyframe to a polynomial curve keyframe individually (such as After Effects and Premiere Pro does), not only having the current way of switching all the keyframes from one mode to another.

Mark selected clip
Like PPro - you can 'mark selected clip' - which would be useful for then looping just that clip

Support ALAC format
ALAC is a commonly used high quality audio format and I discovered recently via a support session that is is not/no longer supported in Audition. https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/using/supported-file-formats.html
It used to be the case that I could take an audio clip of, for example, 2,116 kbps, slice it up in Audition's multitrack editor and export it to the same quality. This is no longer the case. Now when I export a slice of 2,116 kbps ALAC-format audio to the same format (choosing options to export at the same quality as the source audio) I get a file that's 1,591 kbps. Clearly, that…

Link media improvements
If I command click a number of clips, go to 'link media' then 'cancel' - all the clips are linked to the media that the last clip selected was linked to.
Undo has no effect.
Neither of these behaviours is correct, IMO. (i.e. 'cancel' should cancel the operation - and undo should undo the last link action)

Edit | Select | Previous clip in selected track please
We have 'Next clip in selected track' - why not previous?
Also option to use a modifier to select next/previous in any track3 votes -
Volume Envelope Adjustment View! V.E.A.V.
When drawing in or adjusting volume envelopes, the actual waveform you are adjusting increases or diminishes VISUALLY based on the envelope. In other words the envelope already gives me a VISUAL marker of WHERE the volume changes, but with this new feature the waveform would grow or shrink giving me a VISUAL marker of the waveform AMPLITUDE as well. The added benefit would be to QUICKLY match volume peaks and valleys visually, in addition to hearing it while also using the meters.

Add roll trims like Premiere Pro
In PP I can do roll trims that work across clips, so if I have clips 1&2 butted together I can do a roll edit that lengthens 1 and shortens 2 & vice versa.

BUG: don't add .wav extension to files copied that already have it
When given option to 'copy files for this session to the session folder' Audition seems to not realise a file named .WAV already has an extension and adds .wav to the end.
So I end up with filename.WAV.wav
By all means make it lowercase, but don't repeat it!

Show match frame edits (and allow their removal)
Another NLE cross-breed. (I understand that the way video editors work may not suit the way DAW natives work!)
In most NLEs there is a 'show match frame' or equivalent. Typically this is a small white equals sign indicating where a clip has just been 'split' and otherwise levels/pan etc are exactly the same. The equals sign changes colour (say to red) to indicate that this is still a 'match frame' in terms of time but that there is a difference between either side of the edit (level / pan / clip based plug-in applied etc).
So if you make…

Audition should not put audio 17 minutes from the start of a new multitrack session.
I selected two files that I had newly opened in Audition (in the Files pane), right-clicked, and said "Insert into new multitrack session."
For no apparent reason, the audio begins around 16:54 in the timeline, with blank space before that. The playhead was at zero beforehand. Screen shot attached.

BUG: Crossfades don't transfer over from Premiere properly
In premiere, I insert room tone between voiceover bytes in order to smooth out the voiceover and make the edits sound natural. (this is a common practice in industry). I crossfade these chunks of roomtone over a duration of 2 or 3 frames. This is very easy to do quickly in Premiere, selecting all of the transitions and using the keyboard shortcut. However, these crossfades change when I bring the sequence over to Audition for the soundmix. (I'm sending it over from Premiere via Edit -> Edit sequence in Audition). The crossfades become fade-outs that bump up against each other.…

Improve tracks panel behavior
Tracks panel is handy but it will be great great inside this panel to :
1 - change the name and the color of the track
2 - select the track directly from it
3 - change the place of a track inside the mix4 votes
