  1. Add the ability to annotate any kind of track in multitrack.

Like Pro Tools, I want to be able to describe each track in detail by annotating each track individually. I want to be able to annotate any kind of track that can be used in multitrack, whether it is an audio track or a bus track.

  3. improve clip fade handle function in multitrack for speed of use

As a podcast and long form voiceover editor it would be incredibly helpful if the clip fade box in the top right and left corner had some preferences for size. the square is tiny.

a huge part of my time editing dialogue is fading clips at the start to iron out bumps from room tone and cutting mid word like to remove an "uhm". To do this, I have to ripple delete, then select the clip, then grab the tiny little box, pull fade, and move along.

It would be nice if we had a preference to make that box…

  4. Ability to lock vertical zoom for individual tracks

I sometimes have one or more tracks that I want to keep fairly tall all the time so I can see their audio in more detail, while other tracks can usually stay as small (vertically) as possible. But when I do need to zoom those small ones and then zoom them all the way back out, my tall ones also get zoomed out. If I could lock them, I'd be much happier.
A variation on this idea would be zooming proportionally when some tracks have been individually zoomed, so the small ones get bigger and the big ones get even…

  5. Synchronize Audio with Merge Clips function

I'm looking to algorithmically sync audio recorded from different sources within audition just like in Premiere Pro.

  6. Please design a button to link the track envelopes to items.

Or just add the ripple edit(link) feature as the other daws. It is really convenient and necessary for sound designers.
Here is a picture of action list in Reaper. The developers should have a look.

  7. Mixdowns ignore pre-rendered tracks, instead Audition processes all the effects fresh when mixing down. Not right crazy extra SLOW.

When mixing/bouncing down, Audition SHOULD NOT have to reprocess all the track effects if the tracks are pre-rendered. If I prerender all tracks with FX, The mixdown should basically be as fast as if no FX are on tracks.
This is definitely not the case. A mixdown takes the same amount of time whether or not FX are pre-rendered.
For a 90 minute movie score session with lots of HQ FX, this can make the render take hours, when it should take only a few minutes (as if it had no FX).
Makes for a big waste of time waiting…

  8. Multitrack export issue

I want to do export. I switch some tracks to solo mode. After mixdowning there is a some noise in resulted mixdown file. But if I switch all BUS tracks to mute mode then resulted mixdown file is ok. BUS tracks are not associated with my solo tracks. But this BUS tracks have some effects that assume noise to mixdown file. So if some tracks switched to solo mode - another tracks must to be muted automatically, isn't it? I see this issue in cc 2019, 2020.

  9. clip markers

I would prefer to be able to add markers to tracks or clips so when I'm editing the markers move with the edit. But at the very least, if I add a marker in the waveform editor, I'd like to be able to read that marker (not just see a dotted line) in the multitrack editor. That way I could add notes to the waveform and see the notes in the multitrack. This marker thing is really driving me crazy.

  10. Nestiing

I'd like to have an option like Pre-composing from AE inside Audition. I'm working on editing a podcast and I'd like to next both tracks into one track and edit that one track without messing up the original track.

  11. Deleting multiple fades at once.

Hello All! I have quite big problem with multiple fades… While recording an audiobook I use punch and roll mode, and after recording, all new tracks are faded with tracks underneath (as you know punch and roll creates new clips one on another).
Is there any way to delete multiple fades in clips? It would be great to select all clips and using one click delete them all instead deleting them separately… Your help will save lot of time!
Ps. “Automatic Crossfades Enabled” option is turned OFF.

  12. BUG: Ripple Delete Gap Takes Longer As You Continue To Do Them

When I edit my audio in multitrack I cutout everything but good takes. Then I copy them to a new track and ripple delete the gaps in between the remaining good takes. As I do this, it starts to take longer for each ripple delete gap. Relaunching Audition fixes the problem for about 15-20 deletes, then it starts to get exponentially longer for the delete to occur.

  13. Option to add the metronome track when exporting session

Sometimes I need the click track from the metronome to be exported together with the audio for the client's need (usually a choreographer or music video director).
My current solution is to use cables and route output to input on my audio interface to record to another track but this is waaay too cumbersome. A simple checkbox on the export dialog would greatly speed up my workflow.

This checkbox could even appear only if you have the metronome toggled on and unmuted.

I attached an image as an example of how it could be.

  15. Please create a way for the Audition volume keyframes to be seen and adjustable in the premiere timeline

It would be very helpful to autoduck volume on movie stems against director commentary, and have those keyframes show back up in the premiere pro timeline for further adjustment against picture.

  16. Add a single button to arm all tracks for record in Multitrack Session

I record 32 tracks of live audio coming into Audition via Dante. It is cumbersome to click each individual track to arm them all for recording. A single "arm all" button would make this task so much faster.

Shift + Command (Mac) or Shift + ctrl (Win) click on one of the track’s record enable buttons will arm all tracks for record. Hope this helps….

  17. Need amplitude zoom in Multitrack Editor

In the Multitrack Editor, please add the ability to zoom waveform amplitude without increasing its amplitude (already available in the Waveform Editor). This would be very helpful for editing low-level recordings where the waveform is difficult to discern. Zooming individual tracks is helpful, but not always sufficient for making precise edits.

being able to use a rectangle/marquee tool to select and remove keyframes in the track envelopes would be extremly helpful.

  19. Pre-render resets/restarts when volume is changed via track dial. This should not happen when FX are pre-fader.

Pre-rendered track resets/restarts when the track's volume is changed via track dial.
This should not happen when FX are pre-fader.
In fact, it works properly when changing the track volume with the mixer screen slider (it does not restart the pre-render.)
It seems like a really easy bug to fix, and it really kills my work flow when working with a lot of frozen tracks.

  20. Ability to Jump in Multitrack view to Markers in Waveform view

Would like the ability in Multitrack view to move playhead (still in Multitrack view) to markers attached to any clips (Waveform) that are used in the Multitrack view (only if the marker is in a portion of the clip that is actually active in the Multitrack).

A very small, practically indistinguishable dotted line appears in Mutlitrack view for markers on the clips, but being able to quickly navigate to these or, at the very least, the ability to make them more obvious (size or color change as covered in another feature request) would be most helpful.
