5.0 clips should route properly in a 5.1 Multitrack project
Unless I am missing a step here, in a 5.1 project you can make three types of tracks; Mono, Stereo, or 5.1. Recently I threw in some 5.0 ambiences to a 5.1 project and noticed something didn't sound right. Turns out it was being sent through the LFE channel, because the track exects 6 channels but was getting 5.
Of course, if I parse out each individual stem of the 5.0 clip and put them on their own track hard panned to the appropriate speaker, problem solved, but this creates a ton of vertical bloat in the project, and presumably a bit more processing power. I also can't affect the clip, and am forced to send that whole set to its own bus to do any sort of group based automation and effects. Again, just more unnecessary workflow bloat.
It'd be great if 5.0 tracks were an option, or at least being able to adjust the channel routing ON a 5.1 track so that playback is accurate.

Discovered that you can adjust the Source Challenel Routing on clips which is awesome... and also exactly showing the problem. The order of the routing doesn't appear to be adjustable, so a 5.0 file HAS to use the LFE channel in the middle, even if it doesn't have one. The Rs channel is hidden. If there's a way to adjust this it's not apparent.
