Precise Copy-Paste Waveform ruined since Audition 3.0
Adobe Audition 3.0.1 was the last version with flawless Waveform Editor where you could copy-paste WAV files 100% precise. Since then a short silence gap is added in front of pasted waveform after you save the edited file. Please fix this already! Thank you.

The new versions of Audition works differently than Audition 3.0.

Ah, yes, I didn't fully understand your initial question and forgot to mention there is a cross fade option in Mix-Paste dialog.

Thank you very much, this seems to work. I frequently join two WAV files to remove silence between them, then I split them back and save them. After that I check whether they've been saved correctly (without a gap), i.e. Mix Paste the second one at the end of the first. I've noticed I have to uncheck the Crossfade option as well in the Mix Paste window.

You can try adjusting the settings here: "Preferences>Data..." and set both 'Smooth' settings to off or a shorter number.
