Allow me to select a default "save as" file type
It is just one more out of MANY steps I have to perform each time I have to go in and select my file type while saving a file. There's also the opportunity to accidentally select the wrong type (because MP3 and MP2 are RIGHT NEXT to one another). Having a DEFAULT file type to save to would save a LOT of time.

Default save info is alway a problem in Adobe. Should have a default and current location option. I hate having to spend time relocating the save info when I open a new project.

Please! This would make my life so much easier. If there was a panel in preferences to select defaults, or if it would even just remember my previous choices and have a way to revert back to the 32bit WAV formats that would be good as well.
I'm constantly having to make a ton of audio cuts for radio news segments and our automation/editing server can't support WAV files, or files outside of being able to just save as .mp3 16bit at 44100hz every time would make life so much easier and I wouldn't' end up with duplicate files because I missed a step.

The older versions of adobe didn't do this. You could select a default file save type for whatever your personal needs were. Have you counted how many more steps are added as a result of this decision? When you are using the program for large amounts of voice work and working with multiple files it creates a major slowdown to a work flow. It's very redundant.
