Audio clip does not open in Audition after selecting "Edit clip in Audition" from Premiere Pro
I used to be able to work seamlessly between Premiere Pro and Audition while editing audio clips of my video files. Now, when I try it after the update, it does everything except open the file in Audition. Ive tried everything from quick troubleshooting tricks to full factory reset and install of my operating system. nothing seems to work. Wondering if I'm the only one with this issue...?
Thanks for your patience. This is fixed with the latest Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0.3) and Audition 2020 (13.0.3) updates that are now available via the Creative Cloud Application.

Same. Still experiencing this issue on 14.0.4
The problem still there even after the update (Premiere Pro 14.0.4 and Audition 188.8.131.52)

The update didn't fix it for me!!!
@mediateam Thanks for the the feedback. We'll need a bit more info. Which OS are you on? Using Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0.3) and Audition 2020 (13.0.3)? Does it open the correct version of Audition and the clip does not? Thanks!

I know Michael V said the update fixed this, but I'm all up to date and it still does nothing.
Thanks for your patience. The solution requires aligned changes for both Audition and Premiere under Catalina. Please watch for the next updates.

Having the same issue right now. Having to hit "edit in audition" then "reveal in finder" then applying what I need within audition to then export that file and re-link back into premiere. super frustrating when it used to work! hoping for a fix soon.

"No response from Adobe?"
We fixed the initial issue with the recent patch, and there is still an issue with external drive right now that we have fixed internally that should be fixed in the next patch.

No response from Adobe?

I'm having the same issue, its been going on for months now. Fix it Adobe! I think it deserves a refund given the amount hours this has wasted on trouble shooting and it has stalled the completion of projects... for such expensive software, I expect there to be minimal disruption caused by bugs and glitches, Its simple not good enough!

Please fix this issue, it's been months now and "Send to Audition" in Catalina still doesn't work. This is a major part of my workflow, and a major reason I use Ppro at all.

I'm having the same problem. I'm on Mac Catalina 10.15.2 with the latest updates of Premiere Pro and Audition. When I attempt to "Edit Clip In Audition," no file appears in Audition. Tried trashing prefs, re-installing---all without results.

I’m also having this issue since the update to Catalina. Although, I’ve found a pretty simplistic work around.
Right click on the clip in question and select ‘Edit clip in Adobe Audition’.
Following the ‘Render and Replace’ dialog, navigate within your project to the bin containing the source footage of your clip. Here you’ll find the extracted audio file PP created during the render and replace.
Right click on the extracted audio file and select ‘Edit Original’. Audition should now open with your extracted audio ready for editing.

I'm also running into this problem. When selecting "Edit clip in Adobe Audition," Audition opens, but the clip does not.
Additionally, if I send sequences to the Media Encoder queue, Media Encoder opens - but the sequence does not show up in the queue. I have been able to 'click-and-drag' a sequence from Premiere into the Media Encoder window in order to get it to be placed in the queue.
Thankfully the link from Premiere to After Effects actually works.
This is happening on a new MBP 16" with Catalina and current version of all apps.

I just learned this trick that is a work around until they fix the update.
1. Right click on the audio clip and click "edit in audition" (this will create an extracted version of the audio clip if you have the originally chopped up)
2. Right click the audio clip again again, this time choose "reveal in finder"
3. Drag the audio file into audition
4. Make your changes, save and then it will auto save into your premier project. You won't need to relink the audio file or reimport it.
This is the fastest work around I have tried, I spoke with adobe support and they confirmed this is an issue and are working on it, hoping to have it released by mid/end of january

I recently made the update to Catalina and the latest Adobe apps as well. I am having the same issue as everyone else is in the thread. This is how I have been able to work around the issue for any interested parties.
