Audio clip does not open in Audition after selecting "Edit clip in Audition" from Premiere Pro
I used to be able to work seamlessly between Premiere Pro and Audition while editing audio clips of my video files. Now, when I try it after the update, it does everything except open the file in Audition. Ive tried everything from quick troubleshooting tricks to full factory reset and install of my operating system. nothing seems to work. Wondering if I'm the only one with this issue...?

Not sure what happened but it seems to be working fine and back to normal. Just thought I give you a heads up

I just learned this trick that is a work around until they fix the update.
1. Right click on the audio clip and click "edit in audition" (this will create an extracted version of the audio clip if you have the originally chopped up)
2. Right click the audio clip again again, this time choose "reveal in finder"
3. Drag the audio file into audition
4. Make your changes, save and then it will auto save into your premier project. You won't need to relink the audio file or reimport it.
This is the fastest work around I have tried, I spoke with adobe support and they confirmed this is an issue and are working on it, hoping to have it released by mid/end of january

I recently made the update to Catalina and the latest Adobe apps as well. I am having the same issue as everyone else is in the thread. This is how I have been able to work around the issue for any interested parties.
To open Premiere sequence in Audition
1: Select Edit in Audition from Premiere Pro
2: Navigate to File in Audition and Select Open
3: Navigate to the Adobe Audition Interchange Folder
4: Open the Folder with your sequence name
5: Select the .prproj with your sequence name and Audition should load your project
To open your Audition Stems in Premiere
1: Select Export to Premiere Pro from the Multi Track Menu in Audition
2: Select Export from the dialogue box
3: Open Premiere Pro
4: Navigate to where you save files are located from the Audition / Premiere exchange
5: Select the .xml file with the sequence name you are looking for

I have the same issue. The option is there when I right click the audio track but it is greyed out.
"Edit Clip in Adobe Audition"
Please fix this Mr. Adobe.

@Durin G It's been a month now since this was first reported. While I appreciate that the Catalina interaction may be complex to work out, people who count on Premiere-Audition interactivity seem to be crippled in their work. And, uh, holiday times may leave us feeling as if our projects are sunk for the rest of the year if the fix is not yet in place.

@Durin G — any update?

Hope this issue get a fix soon. Dynamic link is one of the main reasons why I chose Adobe and not Final Cut Pro or Davinci Resolve.

Same issue here. I would think that the interoperability between the components is a key element in the Creative Cloud offering? How did this slip through the Q&A process? When can we expect the update that Durin G is talking about?

Same issue! And when in Multitrack of Audition, the audio starts playing before the waveform shows a few frames before while I'm scrubbing. All files are doing this. Something is bad since updating these apps or updating to Catalina...

Same Issue. Really need this fixed soon please, is there an ETA on the update?
A change in cross-application functionality with MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) appears to have introduced this problem in certain configurations. The command line parameters Premiere sends to Audition are being stripped or limited. We anticipate this to be resolved in an upcoming update.

I have exactly the same problem.

Definitely an issue that needs to be corrected!! Help us out Adobe!!

Hello, I am encountering the same problem. I've tried everything too, like installing and reinstalling both programs, importing the project files again, etc. My problem started before the update and I thought the update could help but it didn't. I really don't know what to do to fix it.
