Fades
On "Fade In" and "Fade Out" I would like much greater control to raise the beginning and end of a fade. i.e. beginning +.25 to +11dB... I want to change the numbers independent of one another. This was a feature I got very use to in Cool Edit... If people want the quick fade in and fade out that is great keep it. But I would love having the greater control.
Sometime I will fade out 0 to -240. Also, sometimes I need to go from +.25 to +7 or whatever to ride the end of a song, bed, or other audio. This is a big deal with the workflow of my work and using this program. Raising by small increase is slow and painful. Please bring this feature back.
Thanks Rick-

OK... In both Cool Edit Pro 1.2 and 2.0 you had in the "Effects" dropdown menu "Amplitude" you opened that up and had "Amplify" and opened that up and could choose "Constant Amplification" which is great for the whole file. You also had, "Fade" and choose "Fade In" (going from -240 to 0) or "Fade Out" (going from 0 to -240) or any number(s) in between. This "Amplify" box is great and very useful... You could move this to Auditions "Fade In"/"Fade Out" menus or put in the "Effects" dropdown menu "Amplitude and Compression" field "Amplify" and have it back in the original location. It allows greater volume control for the projects we work on and is a feature we still need.

Follow up...
asked for greater control of the "fade in" and "fade out"... i.e. 0 to -240 (or +240) and the reverse -240 (+240) to 0. The "0" we sometimes have higher or lower values too, but didn't want to make it confusing. I loved this feature in Cool Edit and we still need it today. Use it everyday, sometimes hundreds of times a day. If you could add this extra control it would greatly help our team and company. The Clip dropdown menu seems like a good place to add to the list in "fade in" and "fade out" menu boxes. Cool Edit is getting to the end of it's life at our company and we want to jump to Adobe Audition, but not having this feature keeps holding us back from buying it.
Thank you for your time and help,
Rick
