opus format in ogg
WhatsApp exports audio files in an ogg container in the opus format, which Audition won't import. Can you please add? It's free and open source http://opus-codec.org
Not "free and open source" in the sense of GPL3's "free if you give your entire source tree and possibly all patents to the internet", either.
Free and open source as in it can be used commercially, as-is, with no restrictions aside from not entering into patent litigation over the codec itself, and there's an implementation sitting there waiting for you to use it that already builds on Mac and Windows with native toolchains (none of the abortion of building parts in GCC under MinGW / MSYS afaik, which is a non-starter in many build environments and terrible on performance IME).
Since Adobe seems to be avoiding as many useful codecs as possible in Audition (No AC3 / eAC3 since they dropped Dolby license even though both are open standards now and could be implemented, only stereo AAC, etc), direct export to Opus would be nice -- I'd have something I could use without running a .wav file through ffmpeg.
It's a supported audio codec in .mp4 containers and most devices have no problems with it there, so having it as an audio format option in media encoder would be nice as well.
