Insert new recorded audio at playhead
Would be nice to be able to open a wav file, go to select location with playhead and have the option to record new audio over (as is currently) AND INSERT WITHOUT DESTROYING CURRENT AUDIO... should be a simple thing to do no????
The “Insert Record” mode feature has officially released today with Audition 14.0. It adds a new option when right-clicking on the Record button to toggle between “Overwrite” or “Insert” modes, and works with Punch and Roll recording mode as well.

I would love to see a ripple insert added to any updates. It would make it so much easier to work with this feature in place.

Ripple insert would be an absolute game-changer for me. Audition is my tool of choice in my voiceover business... but for anything longer-form (eLearning, etc.) I have to use Twisted Wave specifically for initial recording and first-pass editing/pick-ups etc. I really want to stay in the Adobe ecosystem, but not having the ability to ripple insert makes me have to use another program, and slow my work-flow.

Ripple INSERT. YES!!
This would be something that is a MUST for many doing Voice Over. The amount that this function would speed up the production process would save a boat-load of time and money. Just the chance to work effectively is work posting and voting here.

This can only be a good thing. Make it as easy as possible for folks to use and love your tool as possible. Keep them happily using Audition and telling their friends and colleagues to use it, rather than looking elsewhere for products that let them do the job they love quickly and efficiently.

Please add the ripple insert feature to Adobe Audition, and if it could be used while in the new Punch and Roll mode, that would be a HUGE time saver and would significantly improve workflows for so many voice over talent who record on AA in home studios.

I totally agree! It makes perfect sense to have this kind of option available for your users! Time is money, and going through the current options to edit our audio is a complete waste of our time. I think this idea is a no brainer! Please consider adding ripple recording to Audition.
Thank you for your time

Having this mode would be great in my work as a voice over artist when wanting to re-read just a section of recorded audio which happens to be in the middle of a file / timeline while not destroying or recording over any of the current audio, just move the current audio down the timeline.
