Epidemic Sound & Adobe Audition Integration
Now that Premiere Pro has integrated the Pandemic Sound music library into the Essential Sound panel and users everywhere are enjoying the ease of use that comes along with this arrangement, it begs the obvious question: why not have this same functionality in Audition? This would be an absolutely game changing feature for those of us who spend extended amounts of time in Audition and who also regularly need to audition music from outside sources.
I'm also surprised that evidently no one here has asked this question yet, unless I have missed it. So, let's make some noise fellow audio…

Utilize CPUs better when mixing down to file
I have a podcast template with 6 voice tracks, a dialog bus, SFX / music tracks and a final mix/check bus before master. I have 1-2 VST effects on each of these. Mixing down a 2 hour podcast episode will easily take an hour on a pretty decent machine - with 15% CPU utilization.
I realize this is complex, but couldn't the mixdown process be modularized to take advantage of multiple CPUs in the system, and thus probably reduce the mixdown time greatly?

Midi channels
Why did you exclude the MIDI channels! Audition was a step closer to become a DAW! It has so much potential!

You need to get Audition on Android and Apple apps
There should be an Adobe Audition app for those broadcasters and musicians who reply more on mobile devices.

AAF
Please add the ability to import and export AAFs, OMFs are being phased out and have limited functionality compared to AAFs. Having the ability to use both would be incredibly useful.

ATMOS, 7.1, et cetera - Mixing and Mastering for immversive formats!
Hello, Audition-Team!
Blackmagic Design just rolled out some pretty impressive audio additions to Resolve 16... these SHOULD be in reach for Audition's next release - hopefully. Hey, we're talking about a Color-Grading-Suite regarding Resolve! Function and interface are looking pretty good there.
Great work so far, Adobe, but THIS and bins to better organize your project... would go a LONG way to be future(/present)-proof.

PS: Truly great new steps in the current version! Loving it!

Track Transfer from one Multitrack Session to another
After I record ADR or FOLEY cues in my Record Templates, I want to be able to import those unedited tracks into my Edit/Mix Session that already exists. I can copy clips from tracks, but I can't import tracks with the settings and names, etc. ProTools has this feature. I can't find a way to do this in Audition. It is so necessary for a smooth post audio workflow. Thanks.

More options for playback speed
Instead of just double speed, allow playback to have a speed like in Premiere so you can understand what someone is saying. Having the same JKL keys and speeds as Premiere or a variable preference setting would be amazing.

adjust relative clip gain
'Adjust clip gain' appears to be absolute only.
e.g. select a number of clips, call up properties | 'clip gain' and type +6dB - actually sets them all to 6dB - should be an option for a relative adjustment.7 votes -
Provide a checkbox in Preferences which allows Audition to play a short notification sound when processing is done
When applying effects to audio or generating noises, Audition can take 30 minutes or more to do its processing. Rather than being required to manually check whether Audition is done processing, it would be wonderful if Audition would play a quick notification sound when the processing finished. This feature would allow me to work in another program while Audition is busy processing until I hear the notification alerting me to the fact that I can go back to working in Audition again.

Allow nesting if sessions
eg
Session1: Interview recording - needs 2nd mic muting when not used (with appropriate fades), eq, compression, level adjustments etc.
Session2: editorial cut of session1, music added etc
Ideally it would also be possible to ‘relink’ the session 1 to an updated version.
Why?:
Mainly to enable 2 people to work concurrently in a fast turnaround situation but also there are times when the same interview may be used multiple times for different shows. Be very useful to have non-destructive & tweakable cleaned master interview.
Bonus question:
Are there other DAWs that have this? Certainly some NLEs do.
(Workaround currently…

More flexible playback speed
Playback speed is limited to just a few speeds. Sometimes they are either too fast. Would love to be able to more accurately control playback speed like some other DAWs allow.

Automatically adapt to audio input/output device changes
I spend a lot of time on a laptop (MacBook Pro w/ Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C ports). Every time I shut and re-open my laptop, every time I unplug my headphones for a sec, etc, Audition refuses to play because the hardware has changed, saying "Audition has detected a problem with the current hardware settings." This happens several times a day.
Even if I only unplug my headphones for a sec and then plug them back in, it requires me to go into settings, choose a different output and then switch my setting back to headphone output. This has long…

Please Add Rewire Support
I need to be able to score films. This requires the use of external music creation software like Reason, and East/West's amazing sample library via their Play app. Just add rewire or some other method so I can create the soundtrack in realtime with the video track. I am otherwise forced to use other applications and audition is useless after the dialog editing. Honestly, this is the only multitrack audio software that doesn't support it. More frustratingly Audition used to support Rewire technology. I see youtube videos showing how to do it.

Add the option to categorize things into folders/Groups while editing similar to photoshop.
separate different multi track projects into groups or folders to be more organized.

Ability to play karaoke format files and have the 'lyrics' display on a seperate panel/external monitor
We get a lot of karaoke singers in the studio and this would be a great boon.
Something similar could be used for dialogue overdubs by displaying text on a separate screen as the timeline progresses7 votes -
One-Way Mix-Paste Cross Fade
The cross fade option while mix-pasting is great, but i would love to be able to set it to crossfade just the top or just the tail (or both like it is now) depending on the situation.
Example...
I want to mix-paste something, but want it to cross fade at the start of the paste, and be a straight cut style paste at the end of it.
I will try to explain better if that didn't make sense.

Improve Spot Healing Brush Tool (stop leaving gaps of silence behind)
Using the Spot Healing Brush Tool tends to leave holes that are quieter than the surrounding audio, which is rarely what we'd want. The only time the tool truly works well is if you've recorded audio in a perfect environment with no audible noise floor. That's not how the real world typically works, though.
Just to visualize what I mean, try this:
- Effects > Generate > Noise and Apply
- Use the Spot Healing Brush Tool above the 1.5k range
- notice that you're leaving holes of quietness behind wherever you paintIt would be incredible if the algorithm…
