BUG converting wav to flac when exporting a session
In the last Cloud update of Audition 2020-10-21
When exporting to new session and converting wav file to flac, the file converted keeps the .wav extension. It's a flac type file when open in Audition, but the extension is still .wav
1 voteHi Eric-
Thanks for the report, we have this logged as bug DVAAU-4202927. I’ll update once we have a build available with the fix.

Default input device sometimes fails to initialize
I use an Apollo Twin to record vocals. When starting a new mono file in audition, the Twin is not recognized as the default input device. Only after opening and closing the Preferences window does the device then become active. It's difficult to reproduce but tends to happen after I haven't used the device in a while, like when I go to bed and then come back to it the following morning.

Multitrack export issue
I want to do export. I switch some tracks to solo mode. After mixdowning there is a some noise in resulted mixdown file. But if I switch all BUS tracks to mute mode then resulted mixdown file is ok. BUS tracks are not associated with my solo tracks. But this BUS tracks have some effects that assume noise to mixdown file. So if some tracks switched to solo mode - another tracks must to be muted automatically, isn't it? I see this issue in cc 2019, 2020.

Speech-to-Text
Hi Dear team,
We organise many cultural, scientific events such as conferences. A Speech-to-Text option can help us so much.

DeNoise in Audition has stopped working.
DeNoise in Audition has stopped working. It was working fine before the new updates, and haven't been working since. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and nothing works. DeNoise effect simply does not apply to clip.

Synchronize Audio with Merge Clips function
I'm looking to algorithmically sync audio recorded from different sources within audition just like in Premiere Pro.

Multitrack - razor tracks without stopping playback
It would be a massive time saver if it were possible to razor tracks during playback without having to stop playback first. It's possible to do this in Premiere Pro, and I'd like to see the same feature in Audition's Multitrack. I'm in a position where I find it faster to rough cut multitrack speech programming in video editing software than audio software!

Unique 'last used' settings for Match Loudness and Batch Process
My workflow uses Match Loudness to generate WAVs and Batch Process afterwards to generate MP3s. But they share the same 'last used' settings as each other, so I have to change back to MP3 every time I use Batch Process, and change back to WAV every time I use Match Loudness. Can they have their own 'last used' settings memory?

Even if just a "Light" version, Audition for Android and/or chrome would be pretty useful.

Add the ability to annotate any kind of track in multitrack.
Like Pro Tools, I want to be able to describe each track in detail by annotating each track individually. I want to be able to annotate any kind of track that can be used in multitrack, whether it is an audio track or a bus track.

Foot Switch Support
I have an X-Touch control surface which supports two foot switches and an expression pedal. It’d be nice to be able map at least one foot switch to functions in Audition and Premiere Pro.

clip markers
I would prefer to be able to add markers to tracks or clips so when I'm editing the markers move with the edit. But at the very least, if I add a marker in the waveform editor, I'd like to be able to read that marker (not just see a dotted line) in the multitrack editor. That way I could add notes to the waveform and see the notes in the multitrack. This marker thing is really driving me crazy.

Nestiing
I'd like to have an option like Pre-composing from AE inside Audition. I'm working on editing a podcast and I'd like to next both tracks into one track and edit that one track without messing up the original track.

Enable X-Touch Color Scribble LCDs in Audition
Behringer has documented the SysEx messages necessary to set the color of the LCD scribble displays on the X-Touch and X-Touch Extender control surfaces.
To my knowledge, no other application has enabled these.
Attached: "X-TOUCH EXTENDER MIDI Receive" page 25 of X-Touch Extender Quick Start Guide (https://mediadl.musictribe.com/media/sys_master/hd3/h51/8849820287006.pdf)
Though there are only a few color options, it would be really nice to have synchronized track colors in Audition and the control surface.
Available colors: black, red, green, yellow, blue, magenta, cyan, white. You can also split the colors on the two text lines by inverting either the upper or…

Please release a stable product.
I am switching DAW's because as good as this software could be, it's just too unstable. That and it doesnt play well with networks. Oh, and dont let me forget that its not compatible with 32bit vst's. Oh yeah, and tall the waveform files lying around every where. I could go on but I have to get back to work. What a waist of time.

Nondestructive Waveform Editing
When making edits to an individual clip it would great if it would save the changes as a recipe as in Lightroom Classic, or transparently render a new file into media cache or RAM and change the pointers to reference it. This would operate safely the way Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro and other professional apps operate.
Additionally, the users shouldn’t be promoted to manually save changes to clips. This should be done automatically in the background and the multitrack editor and Dynamic Link partners should reference the newest clip version without manual file reference / save as changes.

Exempt Effects from Automation
When working with a parametric track EQ, I adjust a setting in the effect control window but automation overwrites my changes. It is possible to exempt individual envelopes in the track automation settings, but this is not practical as it means individually selecting over 20 parameter envelopes.
In Premiere Pro, there is a Bypass button ("Toggle Animation") which deletes any keyframes associated with the effect.
It would be better if a button similar to the bypass/power button was added near the plug-in list in channel in mixer view to exempt all effects from automation.
