  1. BUG - Clip panning plays correctly but isn't rendered on bounce or mix down

    Version 14.2.0.34 on Intel Mac

When a stereo clip is on a stereo track the clip pan envelope sets the balance between the left and right channels. If the clip pan is set to L100 then you will only hear the clip's left channel. If that stereo clip is a 2 channel clip created from 2 channels of a multichannel audio file then the pan envelope will work correctly on playback but will be ignored on mixdown.

    To reproduce the bug:

Create a new stereo multitrack session
Open a multichannel audio file, select two channels of that file and drag…

  2. Symmetrical Cross Fades now default?

Since the most recent update, all my clips are defaulting to symmetrical crossfades rather than asymmetrical.

Symmetrical crossfades do not work for dialogue editing, since asymmetry maintains the noise floor evenly.

Every edit I make, I now have to right click the fade square and set it to asymmetrical, which is annoying and taking me a lot of extra time that adds up over thousands of edits per episode.

I looked in the preferences panel and couldn't find any setting to change this back, nor have I been able to find the answer within the manual/documentation.

  3. We have to be able to select multiple tracks at once. Otherwise audition will never be a go to DAW for post audio imo.

Please PLEASE work on our ability to select multiple tracks at once. This would be a massive time saver.

    Thank you!

  4. Bug: Mute Clip behavior has changed in latest update

Before the current update, you could select several clips and Mute them, and each clip would flip its current Mute state. This behaved just like Clip Enable in Premiere, and it allowed you easily demo various takes with one keystroke. Now, if you select a mix of muted and unmuted clips, Mute sets them all to be muted, and pressing it again unmutes them all. Not the behavior we want.

  5. Different color markers with different keystrokes

It would be great to have keystrokes for different colored markers. As I listen I would like to mark different things, having a keystroke for each color market would be fantastic. Thank you so much!

  7. Waveforms aren't displayed correctly after relinking audio files

You can reproduce this bug in the Multitrack editor using the following steps.

    Open a new multitrack session
    Open a multi-channel audio file
In the 'Files' browser click the > to show all the channels in the audio file
Drag just one channel onto a track in the Multitrack editor
    The waveform will display correctly
    Close the session
    Rename the audio file
Open the session and re-link the audio file
The Multitrack editor will now show all the channels of the audio file instead of just the correct one

This bug is still present in Audition 14.4

  8. Fix bug in multitrack where each track covertly has +3 dB of gain applied

Created new multitrack session, placed song that peaks at -0.1 dB into track 1, hit play, track and mix levels show peaking and distortion present, double click song on track 1 to open it as an individual file, hit play, track levels show -0.1 dB, went back to multitrack to double check, hit play, track and mix levels show peaking and distortion present. This sort of thing is seriously unacceptable from a paid product, let alone from a company as large as adobe. SMH

  9. Dragging a 5.1 Channel source into an existing track of a 5.1 Multitrack session shouldn't result in a stereo downmix

I haven't used audition for multi-channel editing for long but just noticed I've been bit by this on multiple outputs and have to re-export tons of audio from audition, re-encode it into something usable externally since audition doesn't support any useful multi-channel file formats natively, and re-mux several hundred GB of video as a result

I'm mainly using it to overlay Rifftrax commentary onto movie audio, and don't have a surround system yet aside from the pseudo-surround built into the TV (but figured it'd be better to do everything as 5.1 just in case) and was noticing that it sounded…

  10. Playhead Jumps to Beginning After Recording

Aggravating bug... after recording to a track, the playhead jumps to the START of the timeline. It stays where it is supposed to in PLAY-mode, but after recording, it jumps to the very beginning. This is ANNOYING as ****, because it is quite interrupting and disrupting the workflow. (Adobe Audition Version 14.4.0.38)
Please quickly fix this. It worked before. Best, Michael

  11. Automatic Pitch Correction - Melodic and Harmonic Minor Scales

For the automatic pitch correction, I would like to see Harmonic and Melodic minor scales added in/or differentiated between. There doesn't any discernible difference between the minor scale and relative major. So if I am arranging a piece of music or a song in the key of A minor, and when I use the auto pitch correction, the G#s are flattened to Gnat. I am have to use the chromatic followed by individual clip tuning.

When I select the scale, you could Minor - Natural (The same as the relative major, which is pointless). Harmonic Minor (Sharpened 7th) In A…

  13. Select clips to start of selected track

There's an option to "select clips to end of selected track". Why is there no function to "select clips to start of selected track"?

  14. Automatic Crossfades for Multiple tracks

Similar to ‘Apply Transitions in Premiere’ , select multiple tracks and drag to add crossfades to All Tracks, or choose a dialogue that would add crossfades to selected tracks with parameter selections.

  16. improve markers clip multitrack

Improve the visibility of markers from audio clips in the multitrack editor. They should be visible the same way as they are in Premiere Pro and After Effects

  17. Have a remove all processing option when exporting multitrack files

Have an option to remove all processing when exporting to enable raw audio stems to be bounced down from the multitrack editor

  18. Global "Effect Power-Off" for Tracks - like the FX-Mute button in Premiere.

Sometime we need to listen into the unaltered tracks, for this it would be great to have a EFFECTS OFF/BYPASS option like the Premiere FX-Mute button.

  19. For 5.1 channel tracks, allow the panner to be turned off, mapping the channels as-is to a 5.1 channel output.

Audition doesn't allow multitrack editing of existing 5.1-channel tracks without the panner steering the sound around, by default to only the front left and right channels. There's no option to simply disable the panner. In comparison, Premiere allows mixing 5.1 channels with no panning; it's the default behaviour.
