Bug in Waveform Editor (Audition)
I want to report a very serious bug that has already caused me data loss twice in Adebe Audition. I describe the situation: If at the end of recording an audio I select and cut a piece of audio and save the file but later regret doing it and press control Z to undo the deletion, Audition puts back the piece of deleted audio, you can even listen and everything seems normal but when I save the file again and exit the audition, the piece that was placed in the undo process is NOT saved, that is, the software understands…

Reverse Markers to what they were
In a recent update the marker is no displayed differently, with the mark on the waveform now slightly to the right of where it's actually marked.
See screenshot. Playhead is where the marker actually is, the displayed marker is incorrect.

Auto Multi-Track
Use algorithm that splits up closed captions by speakers 1,2,3,, etc. in Premiere, in Audition to take one audio track and automatically split it into multitrack.

Normalize function should affect whole file instead of individual channels
Normalize now acts on each channel of a polywave file independently instead of on the file as a whole. This affects panning information and presents a significant problem when working with ambisonic or other multi-channel files.

What happened with you, guys? You used to be "cooler"...
The cursor is less and less imprecise when editing audio. Although I indicate to the program the exact position where I want to select a portion of the recording with my mouse, selection tool ends up cutting portions of voices, making editing process to take longer. May you do something about it? Miss the Cool Edit Pro days...

Sustain Loops
I hate having to switch to Sound Forge to create baked-in sustain loops in my samples. I don't understand how a more advanced software like Audition is missing this feature. Please, add this feature to the editor.

Regarding to the RMS formula
Hi, Adobe audition engineers, in here I am appreciated to know the RMS algorithm because of we have to often statistic mass of test data every day, by now we only statistic by manually one by one.
if we know the" total RMS" and " average RMS" formula, it could be in merged in our labview program so that we can get all the results automatically.
thanks for your support, Br.1 vote -

Simple solutions to simple problems.
Add the tools (clip especially) to the Waveform Editor. For less experienced people with this software, they will put a single track here. I did. And I have spent 2 HOURS on the phone with both Apple support (because Adobe said the problem was with my mac - it wasn't) and Adobe support. Rebooted, had ALL SORTS of permission changes made to my computer by Adobe, only to be told, "put the single track in multitrack and clip it there." There is no word to describe the level of frustration. TWO HOURS to cut five seconds from a one minute…

BUG: Capture Noise Print > Noise Reduction (Process)
Capturing the noise print works. Audibly, the Noise Reduction (Process) does as well. However, the VISUAL waveform is buggy and not changing across the entire timeline. It very clearly works at the location where the noise print was captured, but the waveform of the Noise Print gradually increases across a radius of about 60-90 seconds if you're applying the Noise Reduction across the entire timeline, at which point it looks like it did not work at all -- even though it does when listening back to it.

Please Add An ACX Check Tool!
There is a rapidly growing number of users who are editing audiobooks for Audible. Their ACX submission requirements have several standards that must be met - max peak of -3dB, max.min range of avg RMS for file, min noise floor, etc. There are SOOO much easier after editing an audiobook to have a tool that tells you if your audio passes the "ACX Check." It could be added to the Amplitude Statistics Window. Currently the only way to do this is to use the long-running free plugin that only works in Audacity (a 3rd party wrote this and thousands of…

Remember exact start/end positions for copy, transform and paste
It would be great to be able ton copy to new a time segment in the waveform or a rectangle in the spectrum editor, then modify it and replace it exactly at the same place or with the same duration.

waveform editor: HUD to show crossfade duration
Be great to have the edit crossfade value displayed, and adjustable, in the HUD next to clip gain. (Rather than hidden away in preferences).

Waveform editor: toggle polywav channels
So there's a shortcut (Cmd+B) to toggle all tracks - and shortcuts for Front Left, Centre, LFE etc - but there don't appear to be shortcuts available to toggle polywav track numbers?

export waveform
I'd like to be able to export the waveform as a video file.
I use Audition to edit wildlife sounds and posting a video of a bird call would be helpful

Variable playback speed! Double Speed Is Too Fast
I edit a lot of long audio - podcasts lasting an hour or more. I would REALLY like to be able to listen to it faster - like 1.5 speed. That would help tremendously.

Delete sequential -∞ from beginning and end
Especially noticable in digital sound effect creation, there is sometimes no actual audio at the start and ends of a clip.
I would love a way to easily start from sample 0, then delete every sample less than some chosen dBFS (such as -100) until the first sample that is great than that chosen dBFS.
Then the same thing going in reverse, from the last sample.Being able to have this as a favorite and batch process tons of clips would be a real time save.
Right now we can sort of use the Diagnostics, but this is limited to…

Please fix the punch and roll bug.
There is a bug in the Punch and Roll feature that sometime inserts an artifact at the punch in point. It takes a bit of the recording just prior to the punch in point and pastes it after the point and just before recording starts. It would be helpful if I could upload a file that shows this but apparently sound files aren’t allowed?
