  1. RX9 Connect Bug

RX9 Connect now deselects your highlighted portion of the wave file, highlights the entire file and sends the entire wave file to RX9. This makes it extremely difficult to find the section you wanted to repair and isn't how it's supposed to work. This occurred after updating to the latest version of AA 22.4.0.49 for an iMac 27" 2020 3.6Ghz, computer with 64GB of RAM. It was not doing this with the previous AA program.

  2. Fix The Fraunhofer MP3 Encoder

when I export a file as MP3 with 320 kbps quality via Audition, frequencies between 16 kHz and 20 kHz are cut off. this problem is independent of the source file. for example, when I export a FLAC file as MP3 this happens. When I edit a full frequencies range MP3 file (20 Hz - 20 kHz) and than export it this problem also happens too.
The funny thing is that when I do the export process with Audacity which is a free and open source software, this problem does not happen. I tried the same experiment with other paid…

  3. Adobe Audition problems in Windows 11

I submitted my issue to the community forum yesterday morning, but my post has not appeared yet. I have been using Adobe Audition 22 since November on a new Windows 11 laptop. Starting early last week, I have to restart my laptop almost every time I either open a session or just open the program. It takes a very long time to load, and runs too slow to be of any use. I have over 100gb of available disc space so I'm not sure why this is happening. I will attach a screen shot of a partially loaded new session…

  4. Bug related to "Convert to Unique Copy" for multiple files

When batch selecting multiple files (e.g. +50 over multiple tracks) and converting to unique copies, the file naming seems random. Not related to any order of where the files are in the track. Just random. Please fix as this is a critical feature for workflow handling multiple tracks with multiple small recording bits.

  5. Adapt automation range/curve to control

The range and the curve of automation parameter are actually always linear and cover the all range of the controlled parameter. This is not consistant for most parameter controls. If you modulate frequency for example, you would often prefer a exp. curve to get more sensitivity in the bass and medium range than between 10-22kHz. Why not doing something like on the spectrum editor visualisation to adjust the min-max and incurvation, as in most proper live sound controllers ? The same problem would therefore allow to control much more precisely delays, filters, pitch, spatial positions and any specific controllers of…

  6. Pre-render is broken on Macbook Pro w/ Monterey

Pre-render is broken on a MacBook Pro running Monterey with 13 GB of RAM dedicated to audition.

The audio will play for two seconds before all Levels monitors drop to zero. The playback continues, but no sound appears to be coming out of the program.

This has been happening for months, but is only relative to me when I need to work on a project remotely (without access to external hard drives).

  7. Audition Performance Issues After Updates

I have a pretty fast desktop (AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 32GB 3200MHz RAM, RTX 3090) and yet Adobe Audition is the only program that stutters when opening, takes SECONDS to respond when moving the window, and has the audio tracks and their rendering delayed when displayed in fullscreen.

The funny thing is around three months ago this wasn't an issue. I'm unsure whether it was a Windows Update or an Audition one, but it's been impossible to remedy since (fresh installs, updates to pretty much everything).

They fact that it's only Audition that exhibits this must mean it's something that…

  8. Nothing will launch from Adobe Creative Cloud

I have tried reinstalling creative cloud itself and every single application several times, but I don't even get a launch crash. It's as if the launch command isn't even being received. I can't find anything about this specific issue online, only creative cloud crash reports. I'm at a loss here.

  9. Bug report: Saving mp3 gives incorrect time Big Sur

I'm working on a Mac with Big Sur and noticed something weird. When I use 'Save As' on a mp3 file and open the Finder window, it shows the an incorrect time under the file preview icon. For example, a track shows 7:52 long when it is in fact 4:21. Also when I open the file in VLC Player, the time is wrong. When I play it in VLC and then stop it, the time resets itself to the correct length. I've also noticed something else. When I open a Finder window and the files are set to Symbol view,…

  11. Core Sync is constantly on and using all my CPU and battery.

Core sync comes on every hour or so, no matter how many times I quit it, heating up my computer like crazy (and busting voice takes by driving my fan nuts) and chewing up 50-70% of my cpu and energy use! This bug is driving me nuts, and it can't be good for my computer. Please fix it!

  12. Bugs in build 14.0.0.36 (Level Meter & Spectral graph freeze when recording) (Playback clips 1st .25 sec of audio)

When recording in waveform (AA), the level meter (DB) and the spectral graph freeze when the recording marker(cursor) tries to advance off the screen. The file will continue to record but these elements freeze.

Also on playback in the waveform editor, the begining of the payed audio is truncated. (approx 0.25 sec) If I start the playhead cursor approx .25 sec earlier, I am able to hear all the audio. This makes editing very difficult.

Please fix these ASAP as they are disrupting my workflow time and productivity.

Thanks for the report. We should have a Beta build available via the CCD app next week for the Spectral Display freeze/blur/incorrect display.

I will investigate the playback issue.

    Best,
    Michael

  13. Substaintial Plugin instability on 16,1 MacBook Pro running Catalina

I'm migrating over to a new secondary machine (brand new MBP, 16", 6 core, 4 GB Video engine). Catalina out of the box. I'm having all sorts of problems running plugins. Mainly - instant crashing upon instantiation and/or out of the ordinary sluggish performance. E.g. - (A) any attempt to instantiate plugins by Nugen Audio immediately crash (the most current version of) Audition. (B)Displaying the UI by SuprEsser by Sonnox severly inhibits the fluidity of the playhead. (C)Elixir by Flux and Loudness Radar (native) by TC Electronic appear as small sort of tiles in the lower left of the Audition…

  14. Utilize CPUs better when mixing down to file

I have a podcast template with 6 voice tracks, a dialog bus, SFX / music tracks and a final mix/check bus before master. I have 1-2 VST effects on each of these. Mixing down a 2 hour podcast episode will easily take an hour on a pretty decent machine - with 15% CPU utilization.

I realize this is complex, but couldn't the mixdown process be modularized to take advantage of multiple CPUs in the system, and thus probably reduce the mixdown time greatly?

  15. Spectral Wave Editor

The spectral wave editor goes flat and 20 to 30 seconds. Playback sound is fine, but the lack of spectral wave form prohibits some editing.

    Thank you,

  16. Parallelize Audition Mixdown - Time-based chunks

If Audition is, for some reason, limited to single core processing when rendering audio, it should at least break the session into chunks by time and process them in parallel.

For instance, if I am rendering a 30 minute session, and I have 12 processor cores, Audition should simultaneously render 10x (leaving 2 cores for stability) 3 minute sessions and then merge them into a single WAV file when complete.

  18. Audition is very leggy despite the memory & CPU usage

My CPU is at 1% and my memory 27%, but Audition had stopped responding many times in the last few minutes. If it's not a hardware problem, I could only think that it's a software one.

  19. BUG: Unable to hide Audition on a machine equipped with Apple M1 chip

Using a 2020 MacBook Pro w/ M1 chip, running macOS Big Sur v11.1. The user is unable to hide Adobe Audition using either the key command (cmd+H) or the menu option to hide the application. Presume this is specific to M1 chip devices as the problem does not exist on an Intel based Mac Mini (2018) running the same OS.

  20. Parallelize Multitrack Export

When exporting a multitrack session, Audition should export multiple files at once to better make use of the available system resources.
