X-OCN debayering clampes highlights and is not looking as intended
You really need to fix the issues, otherwise there is no way to work with AFX in commercial vfx workflows.
The AFX X-OCN debayer results in clamped Highlights (32bpc) and is slightly less sharp. It's like a draft quality debayer. Please look at the picture I provided. It's bad.
I compared AE to the Sony Debayer that creates the same results in every professional video tool
Besides the unacceptable quality, there are no settings possible beyond Colorspace in AE/Interpretation.
And: AE shows a black image and is laggy when enabling linearised workflow and crashed when you try to simulate a Display Workspace in Color Managed workflows.
The Debayering pipeline seems to be broken and should not be used in an 16bit Workflow when used natively.
Please. Just use the Sony SDK. Otherwise you should disable the Debayer and don't let your customers run into those kind of problems.
The only way to work in AFX is to export EXR Sequences from a proper Programm like RAW Viewer, Resolve or SCRATCH at RGB half (16bit float) with ZIP-Compression for better playback Performance.
