after effect UI slow

i just purchased a new pc with AMD ryzen 7 4800h 8 cores 16 threads. base clock 2.9ghz boost clock 4.2ghz rtx 2060 6gb 16gb 3200mhz ram dual channel and a 512gb ssd. but in my after effect. there is a lot of lag once the softeware is opened and the 4 sec to 6sec lag before a funtion i pressed is activated is fraustrating. the general lag. please is there a way to resolve this. and a friend system 4th gen i5 8gb ram 500gb hdd intel hd 4500 performs faster in the software ui than mine with that high spec. and i use after effect 22.3 latest. i also tried 22.1 and20 after effect 2021 please what can be done to fix this. because after effect hadly uses my cpu or gpu at all while working. like a 7 8 12% utilasation.

Thank you for reporting this issue, and sorry to hear you've been having a such a poor experience with After Effects on your PC. It sounds like there could be a driver issue or possibly an issue with a third-party plug-in that is causing a general slowdown of the UI. To try and help with issues in those areas:
- Could you list any third-party plug-ins, scripts, or panels you have installed?
- What version are the drivers for your RTX 2060? And are they the Studio or Gamer Ready?Additionally, a screen recording on the slow UI interaction would be very helpful, as well as showing what other processes are running in the Task Manager while After Effects is open.
