BUG - Shadow/Highlight effect with "Effect Opacity" of "0%" breaks time remapping
In AFX 2021, when using the "Shadow/Highlight" effect on a layer that uses time remapping, setting the "Effect Opacity" (in Compositing Options) to a value of "0" will cause the time remapping to break. When the value is set to "0", the frame of the video displayed when the value is changed will be the freeze-frame. Purging image cache memory can change which frame is displayed, until a value of "0" is set again, then the current frame will freeze again. Similar issue when using keyframes on the "Effect Opacity" with a "0" value. Bug. Needs fixing.

No response from Adobe? This is a definite bug - anyone can reproduce it. Not even an acknowledgement from Adobe?

This bug sounds extremely similar to a previous bug reported:
Was this other bug ever fixed? A ticket was opened for it..

Still broken in AFX 2022. I know this is a specific bug that might not affect most users, but it is indeed broken. Tested on multiple workstations with multiple versions of AFX. It works fine in CC 2018, broken in newer versions. Any comments from Adobe?
