BUG: AE 8.2.1 on macOS 11.4 on MacPro6,1 2 AMD FireProD700
if one is moving a Layer in the Composition View it wiggles around.
if you build a motion path with the layer it wiggles around until the preview is rendered.
if you put of "Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer and Footage Panels" it gets much better but is still present. This shows on our MacPro6,1 an on our iMac17,1. On newer hardware such as iMac19,1 it is not present.
In an effort to improve communications between you and the After Effects team, we are moving this feedback forum to the After Effects page on the Adobe Support Community. As requested, bugs and feature requests will be able to live separately in that forum. If you have an item here that did not make the migration, please bring it over to our new home.
See you soon on the Adobe Support Forum!

thanks for your FAST reply. I do appreciate it!
The Artist reporting this Problem now told me that after reboot the Problem is gone, so it seems to be a problem with the Metal Interface - he is investigating some glitches right now. He told me, he is not able to use Google Earth Pro at the same time as AE anymore so we assume there is some resource hogging going on in the Background - and from the same direction we suppose comes the layer wiggle bug.
Something has changed in AE with Cache Rendering and Checking - AE now takes much longer to check wether elements are in the cache or not - the green or blue line now is MUCH slower than in 2020 AE versions? (Not render Times, but checking afterwards, say after restarting AE or changing some parts of the Comp)
One more thing: Illustrator no more cleans the System Clipboard on Quit, thus AE does not understand the Contents of it and throws a heap of errors.
I will report if we discover more...
Thank you for reporting this issue. Would you be able to post a screen recording on the wiggle you are seeing when moving or animating a layer along a motion path? This will help our team reproduce and diagnose what might be going on.
Thank you for any further info you can provide,
