Project default directories
AE is pretty good at remembering last used directories. It remembers separate directories for import, scripts, render - it's really nice. But things get annoying when I'm working on a couple projects at the same time. I have to surf the file dialogs throughout the entire day.
It would be nice if in the project preferences we could have a checkbox saying that I want this project to use it's own default directories, and then I would be able to hardcode the directories for this given project.
So now, if a project doesn't have this option selected, it uses the current directory-memory-buffer that AE has, but if I open a project with this option selected, AE stops using the buffer but instead defaults to the hardcoded directories that are specified to this particular project.
In an effort to improve communications between you and the After Effects team, we are moving this feedback forum to the After Effects page on the Adobe Support Community. As requested, bugs and feature requests will be able to live separately in that forum. If you have an item here that did not make the migration, please bring it over to our new home.
See you soon on the Adobe Support Forum!
And when I'm done and reopen a project without that setting, AE gets back to the memory buffer - which remembers the previously used buffer directories, not the hardcoded ones that were used by the just closed project :)
