The latest After Effects crash when installed the Joystick N Slider Ae Script
When I open my After Effects this morning, and every time when i opened it would crash and give me an error message wrote some issues with Joystick N Slider script. It would work when I delete the script from Ae. Please check this out because this script is quite important for animators and motion designers who use Ae for everyday working. Thanks

The underlying issue of ScriptUI panels set to the “Use Legacy UI” caused a crash has been fixed in the March 2021 ( version 18.0 ) release of After Effects. Please let us know if you continue to see any crashes when opening script panels.
Thanks,

I have the same issue, but I'm not able to report it. It doesn't allow a crash report.

Hi 丞平 李,
Thank you for reporting this issue. Have you been able to report this crash to our crash reporting system with your email?
This might be a known issue with ScriptUI in 17.7; any ScriptUI panels with "Use Legacy UI" enabled will cause a crash when opened. To disable the Legacy UI without opening the panel ( and causing the crash ):
- Go to Preferences > General, then "Reveal Preferences in Finder/Explorer".
- Close After Effects and open up "Adobe After Effects 17.7 Prefs-indep-general.txt" in a text editor.
- Search for "Pref_SUI_PANEL_USES_LEGACY_SKIN" and either delete this section altogether or set each item with it to 00 rather than 01.See if this allows you to reinstall and reopen the Joysticks N Sliders ScriptUI panel.
Thanks again for reporting and let us know if the above works. This issue has already been fixed in the latest After Effects (Beta) builds.
