PLEASE FIX the dreaded "unable to obtain dynamiclink project"
I am getting an “unable to obtain dynamiclink project” error when I try to reapply Warp Stabilizer to a clip that had to be extended in length.
As Dynamic Link has caused problems for me in the past, my workflow for the past 3+ years is to copy/paste footage from Premiere Pro into a new After Effects timeline, and render a ProRes file. This has worked flawlessly for me, and no need to mess with Dynamic Link once I had the files in AE.
Today, I opened a project that contained some previously warp stabilized clips, one of which had to be extended in length. So, naturally I had to re-analyize that clip and re-stabilize it. However, now I'm getting the dreaded "unable to obtain dynamiclink project" error message.....but there IS NO DYNAMIC LINK PROJECT as I didn't create one. What's frustrating is that I tried replacing the clip, and reapplying warp stabilizer, but I still get the same error message. So now I am unable to use my project.
I have tried importing the files into a new project, but no luck. I copied and pasted the existing files into a new project, but again, no luck.
BTW, I am using the same versions of AE and PP, as you can’t copy and paste between them.

I am experiencing this error where when I start to Warp Stabilize a clip, I get the error - " unable to obtain dynamiclink". I am directly using After Effects for this and no linking to any other software. Also, attaching the log file generated.

Hi John Colombo,
Thank you for pointing out the Enable Logging feature.
When I add the 3D Camera Tracker effect to the layer it begins the Analyzing in background process for a few seconds and then AE prompts this "unable to obtain dynamiclink project." message.
I'm only using AE.
Here is my AnalysisSelfLink Log file.
I hope it's helpful.

I have experienced the same error with few projects - even in the latest version 18.2.1 two days ago. My AE projects don't have anything to do with Premiere - it's not even installed in my Mac.
Practically, I am not able to do camera tracking in AE, if I have worked with the project a while.
Only workaround I have found is to create a new empty project and do camera tracking. Afterwards you can import it into your current work project. Not very elegant.
Thank you for filing this report. Are you still experiencing this issue in the latest versions of After Effects and Premiere ( versions 17.7 and 14.9 respectively )?
If the issue is still occurring, the application logs from Warp Stabilizer would be helpful for us to see what might be going wrong. These logs can be created by turning on Help > Enable Logging. After using Warp Stabilizer, navigate to the Preference folder ( Preferences > General > Reveal in Finder/Explorer ) and look in the "logs" folder for "AnalysisSelfLink Log.txt".
Is the inability to copy/paste between After Effects and Premiere Pro also still occurring in the latest versions?
Thanks very much for any additional information,
