Hello @John Colombo, I have this issue once again, and so I returned to this post to see if things had changed. Had they ?
Another thing is : I tried your shortcut to make After Effects fullscreen but it doesn't work. Is this an After Effects shortcut or a MacOS shortcut ? I don't find the item in After Effects menus.
Thanks -

To add to my last comment, I can say that this problems occurs EVERY time you open up After Effects for the second time in a logged session (I mean without shutting down your computer).
So this issue should be considered to be resolved... -

Yes, it is very annoying. The shortcut given doesn't work for me.
I have another workaround : go to macOS settings > general > hide/display menu bar. And then you can move the window.
But if you want to adjust the window, other weird things happen, like in this video : if you adjust the top, it shrinks the bottom, and then, you can't adjust the bottom as if it were the max height... -
Hi Jesse,
Thank you for reporting this issue, we are able to reproduce it as well and will be filing an internal bug ticket to investigate.
A workaround for the next time this happens: if you use the shortcut ⌘ + \ to make After Effects full-screen, this should bring the topbar back into view. Sometimes you may need to use the shortcut twice, but it should still resolve the problem.
Thanks again for filing this bug,
