AE 17.5 Alt key functions broken - switches to camera regardless of active tool
Regardless of the tool used, holding the Alt key switches to the camera tool.
Hoping this is a mistake - it makes zooming out (z, Alt-Click) or adjusting vector bezier curves (G, Alt-click) frustrating without the shortcuts.
This bug has been fixed in the November 2020 update for After Effects, version 17.5.1. You can install the update via the Creative Cloud desktop app.

I'm still having this problem. When I have a path selected on a 3d shape layer and a camera is present in the scene, the Alt key function changes (regardless of if I'm on the pen tool) changes to a camera gizmo, and it's ruining my workflow. This seems to be an unadaptable bug, and it's 2021 now.
I'm on osx 10.14.6 using [Version 17.5]

Tim thanks for the reply! I'm empathetic with the difficulty of making this software, but you guys really need to stop proving Dave Laronde right. If its a beta release, call it a beta release, and let beta testers download it for testing - letting the community en mass wade through every buggy release is bad. Bad for the brand, bad for customer service, bad for user experience.

This is a major bug!!!! It became to work with masks in a 3D scene. Are you reallty telling us that nobody saw this in Adobe? Do you happen to open and use the tools you are selling????

[Version 17.5] When I have a path selected on a 3d shape layer, when I hover over the path with the pen tool, the 'add vert' symbol (+) never appears. If I select the "Add Vertex" from the pen tool drop down menu and click on the path, no new vert is created. Instead, it just brings up the new 3D manipulation gizmo.
This is a workflow breaking bug for me and I'm downgrading versions until it's fixed.

Same happens on latest version of PC. This is a bug that showed up in the Beta but has now moved to the production version.

Just updated to 17.5.0 on Mac.
When option clicking with the zoom tool (to zoom out) it does not work when a 3D Camera is active in the comp, instead it changes camera orientation (behaving like when using the camera tool)
When no 3D camera is active/in a normal 2D comp it works as normal
