Hi, I am having the same issue. With the way our computers are set up i can't run AE as administrator. This all seemed to happen after a recent update. Any help in this matter would be great.

Same here. AE 17.5 with Cinema 4D S22 worked fine. BUT....after updating Cinema 4d S22 with the "Hot Fix" update 22.123, getting After Effects: AEGP Plugin Cineware SceneLayer: Cineware AliveThread - Execute failed
Have tried following "suggestions" made by others:
1. Run After Effects as Administrator
2. Delete and rebuild AE Preferences.
3. Change Cineware Renderer TCP port, restart AE, Purge Mem and Cache. (after doing that I get a "The server does not appear to be running" error. When restore C4D backup of C4D S22 (that originally installed with AE 17.5) C4D and Cineware work again.
I have tried everything. Any "solutions" that I haven't already tried. PS: Some of the "solutions" worked with earlier versions of AE and C4D but not happening with this latest version.
