Queue in AME needs to know you've queued to AME!
Ok, so here's the thing. I have occasion to produce differing versions of graphics on a weekly basis for a regular client. These are all produced in in AE and need outputting as MP4, so my workflow is to make the changes, select the 3 comps that need rendering, add to the render queue then hit Queue in AME. So far, so good. EXCEPT that if I haven't already loaded up AME there's no real signal that you actually DID queue them until AME loads up (you know, 40 years later). More than once, I have to think "did I just click Queue in AME, or didn't I? Man, I'll click it again to make sure." And then, when AME finally deigns to rock up and start rendering (hey man, sorry I'm late, what did I miss?) it now has TWO sets of three comps to render, so I then have to go in and delete them. I know in the grand scheme of things it ain't much, but it's another of those little details that all add up to massive irritation. Surely AE should be able to work out that you've sent them to AME and then unqueue them right away in AE's Render Queue?

Hello Stuart,
Thanks for your suggested improvement. I will have to look into it, but it is likely waiting for a response from AME and if it never received the response from AME, it would be bad to prematurely unqueue it. Would your preference be that it unqueues it upon clicking queue in ame, then requeues it if the queueing fails?
Just curious to hear more of how you envision this workflow and what the UI would look like. I would expect it is better for most to get extra renders listed then miss exporting one from the queue?
Thanks for your time in discussing this issue.
All the best,
Jessica
