Bug: Master Properties not displaying property name
After updating to 17.1.4 everything in Master Properties on the timeline is now displaying as the property type (i.e. "Slider" or "Checkbox") instead of the correct name.
macOS Catalina 10.15.6
update: renaming the property in Essential Graphics will rename the property on the timeline (at least temporarily). However, when duplicating the layer, the duplicate will revert to displaying the property type.
Thank you for filing this bug report. This bug was fixed in the October 2020 release of After Effects, version 17.5. If you are experiencing this problem in an earlier release, please update After Effects using the Creative Cloud desktop app.

On Windows 10 - same problem. When having many master-propertys you are now unable to differentiate between them.

I re-installed a previous version of After Effects (Ver 17.1.3 (build 41)) and everything was restored.

Seems rather random, for what it's worth.
