Selecting layers in Timeline Panel; "Click & Drag"
The user should be able to click and drag the mouse across layers in the timeline panel, highlighting layers within the selection - just like in Premiere Pro sequences.

This feature is now available in Premiere Pro (Beta) 22.6 x10 and later builds and will ship in the public release of 22.6.
You can select and target multiple source or target tracks by holding down CMD/CTRL as you click and drag the cursor across multiple track buttons in the timeline panel. Whichever action is performed on the first track — turning on or off — will be applied to all of the tracks during the dragging action. You can drag through any number of video and audio tracks
Holding down CMD/CTRL + Shift while dragging will invert the targeted selection.

This must be implemented ASAP. It is way more intuitive and faster to grab multiple layers at once, than tying to find layer and select it on the stack or Shift selecting when clicking on the layer.
