Occasional 1 pixel edge bleed bug
I've recently noticed a bug in AE. Occasionally there will be a 1-2 pixel edge bleed despite everything being properly sized and positioned and extending to or, in the case of the first screenshot, beyond the edge of frame. In case of the first screenshot, the bleed does go away when I continually rasterize the layer, but that's not always a workable solution. That one is an AI layer, natively sized to the comp and in its original position, so I shouldn't need to continually rasterize to have a clean edge to the frame. The second screenshot shows a white layer that's set perfectly at the edge of frame to swipe in later bleeding in to the final render early.
It's a tough to catch but hard to ignore issue. I've gone back and reviewed other projects I've completed in AE 2020, and several of them have a spot where this issue appears, regardless of what format the content came in (PSD, AI, PNG, JPG, MP4, and MOV all seem to present the issue at seemingly random times).
It's not easy to replicate, but it does consistently happen with the AI files I'm currently working with. Scaling up slightly does get rid of the bleed, but when working with art directed frames, that's not an acceptable solution. I hope that if anyone else is experiencing this issue, they're catching it before sending off deliverables!
