Fix this After Effects 2020 error: 'Can't import as a sequence. Found no matches for the selected file name.'
I get this error: 'Can't import as a sequence. Found no matches for the selected file name.' when importing an image sequence in to After Effects 2020 (Version 17.0.4 (Build59)). It works just fine when importing the very same image sequence in the previous version of After Effects (Version 16.1.3 (Build 5)) ... This means I can't use the latest version of After Effects (2020), since I work with image sequences all the time. Am I the only one who has encountered this problem? Is there a solution or workaround? Is there an update coming that will fix this problem?

File format .TIFF as you see in the picture some sequences are imported fine but other sequence wont import, im trying to import from a network drive, when moving the sequence to a local drive and the importing it works fine but when the sequence is in a network drive it wont work.
This also happened to me in other project that had .PNG sequences and .JPG sequences.
Im in adobe after effects 2020.
Im not forcing alphabetical order when doing it with the checkbox chequed it wont work either

Same here. All old projects with JPEG sequences lead to a series of two error messages (see attached picture) AND CANNOT BE USED AT ALL.
PNG sequences work fine instead.

Can't import png seq from maped drive. AE 2020 and 2021. When opening from local drive it works fine. Even older saved projects work fine with seq from maped drive. But can't import any new seq

I, trying to import a tiff sequence to after effects and is asking me how I want to import the composition instead of creating the sequence file. I tried using "import" and I got the same result.

I can´t import it too.
If I save the JPG sequence locally it works.
Not having the same problem with PNGs. -

Could you please provide more details here:
Which particular file format?
How are you importing it (local, network drive, etc.)?
Are you using Force Alphabetical?
Is it failing only for sequences of this format, or for all sequences?Any details will help us sort this out.
Thx!
