After Effects doesn't properly support SWF import from Adobe Animate
This would be a great feature but it doesn't work very well! Advanced layers don't work properly, some types of easing don't display correctly, and nested/masked layers don't display correctly (see attached screenshot).
Please implement it properly!

Adobe Animate's camera and filters aren't supported to this day!

I can't even get a comp with SWF to play back. Unbelievable that Adobe can't make software that works with its own software

Hey there! I had a chat with the Animate team, and they had a couple suggestions to try:
1. Update to the latest version of Animate, which flattens advanced layer effects, then try importing.
2. If you're using the legacy route, i.e. publishing swf in Animate and importing it manually in AE, turn on the Optimize for After Effects check box in Publish Settings dialog before publishing.
