Align Stroke : To Center, To Inside, To Outside
It would be great to incorporate the already perfected technology of aligning strokes to paths based on:
1) Path Center
2) Path Inside
3) Path Outside
This is an amazing feature of Illustrator, and for incorporating industry standard workflow from Illustrator to After Effects, its strange this feature does not exist, especially when motion graphics artists often use shape layers for their vector based mechanics and not pixel based.
1 great example of how not aligning stroke paths in Ae limits users is if you wanted to radially wipe a circle in After Effects. Sure, you can use the radial wipe tool, but what if your client needs you to resize, or upscale that precomped layer?
The radial wipe effect does not know how to continuously rasterize shape layers and therefore you cannot upscale your precomped radial wipe shape layers. So the entire beauty of vector based shape layers is now completely useless to the user...
If you could align paths to the inside of a layer, one could make a stroke large enough to fill the entire inside of the shape layer then use Trim Paths to create a 100% vector based resizable radial wipe.
Hope to see align paths and more of the already perfected tech that exists in Ai incorporated into the shape layer tools in future versions of Ae.
Thanks.

I would like to this implemented for both shape layers and text layers, it's ridiculous that we can't have this behavior consistent across Illustrator and After Effects.
